3 Things that Might Appear at Sony’s Feb 20th Press Event

The teaser of the PlayStation Feb 20th event has really got players talking about what Sony will be revealing at this presumably huge event. Rumors have been flying ever since members of the press got invited to this curious event in New York City. Calling the event “the future of PlayStation” one could guess the moment that the gaming industry has been waiting for is just around the corner with the rumor of the big PS4 reveal at this event. Gamers have been waiting for an announcement such as this as a breath of fresh air while still wrapped up in their ageing console. While nothing has been confirmed about the event besides that media and investors have been invited, it’s almost as if everyone knows what to expect already.

I sure hope they do more with the vita because right now the Vita sucks. I think it has potential but honestly no one will give it a chance because its expensive. A price cut maybe? As for the PS4 its pretty much a sure fire thing the it will be revealed at that event. Exciting :)

Its going to be great. I can only imagine the best from Sony. I hope they rely on games more so than features; Sony's usually good with that though so its not a huge worry.

All games at minimum 60fps & 1080p will do.

Most people don't understand how much more processing power you need for higher resolution and framerate.

720p 30fps = 27,6 Mpx/s
1080p 60fps = 124,4 Mpx/s

It's not just about pixels but you can see that the console needs to push four and a half times the amount of pixels per seconds to render same quality in 1080p and 60fps.

Edit: I think 1080p and 60fps is realistic for PS4 by the way.

Okay.They wouldn't call investors and press together to announce anything new about the VITA.They would have just announced it online to gamers. And I don't know what dimension people have been in but the was a multimedia entertainment hub long before Nintendo and Microsoft thought of doing it. So I am not sure why people keep saying Sony should do that with the PS4 when they have been doing it all this gen.People themselves continuously attacked Sony for adding as people put it 'pointless and useless features' and 'People want games not extra features.That is why I am buying a 360.Who cares if it plays Bluray'. Now everyone is telling Sony to add extra features when that is what they have been doing for a long time when the 360 was still selling without them.

Not sure what to expect on the 20th, more questions than answers I guess, def think we will get to see the ps4, not so sure if we will see the controller though, no pricing or specs and hopefully they showcase 2/3 trailers or tech demos. I will be trading in my ps vita if theres no announcements, not keeping mine just for killzone and tearaway, can get £170 on ebay plus i will just play those games mentioned on my friends, i will regret it i am sure, but it get used for 3 or 4 days then sits there for a month lol, great device though just lacking weekly games at retail.

This may sound selfish but I hope they dont announce a redesign for the vita with new features.I just think its way too early for that, and imo it would feel kind of like a slap in the face for buying one early, only for a better version to come out 1 year later.
