How Zelda Wind Waker Could Be Improved On Wii U

Colette Barr: ''Wind Waker is a beautiful looking game bursting with bright colours with its bright blue sea, and luscious greenery that transport you to a world far away from its darker predecessors Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.

From what we were shown during Nintendo Direct, it does look gorgeous and just when I I though this game could look any more magical, I saw Outlook Island in HD. Just imagine how amazing the scene with the Master Sword will look.

Having said that, it's exciting to hear that Nintendo aren't just giving Wind Waker's graphics a facelift. It's great that you'll be able to play off the TV on the Wii U GamePad and Satoru Iwata also mentioned that Nintendow ould be tuning up the game experience. What does that mean?

I don't know but I've got someideas for how Wind Waker could be improved on Wii U.''

Please do something with the sailing nintendo, even with the wind waker warp song it is tedious to me.

CouldHaveYelledUiiW4093d ago

Yeah-

-having to come to a complete stop and start that Baton Rhythm Game every time you wanted to change wind direction got way old.

herbs4093d ago

Maybe while sailing you could just swipe the screen to change the wind direction instead of stopping the action to compose music.

shutUpAndTakeMyMoney4093d ago

I am sure they would do pretty cool things with the tablet!

CouldHaveYelledUiiW4093d ago

LOL,

I started laughing when the writer admitted that she would start sailing in a direction and then go do something else-

I thought I was the only one who did that.

Yeah, good ideas, all. And I have heard many people wanting the same things.

I hope that Nintendo even adds content and story.
And they can even put in the Lost Dungeons that he did not have time to finish.

PygmelionHunter4093d ago

It's been said before, a Master Quest mode would be a pretty cool addition.

zerocrossing4093d ago

I agree, Ocarina of times Master Quest was great IMO.

Legend of Zelda Windbreaker?

Just putting it out there ;)

I can imagine the instrument already.

Maybe Nintendo can implement a microphone feature that you can attach to your pants. Could be a problem getting in tune though.

I'd put Street Fighter 2 over 3. 2 and all its different versions dominated the arcade scene back in the day in a way that 3 never did.

Abear21166d ago

Agreed, Same with Metal Gear Solid imo. Came for Bioshock and was not disappointed. Would easily put Burger Time or Space Taxi over tempest. Also, OG Sim City and Oregon Trail. Mario 64 as well. Just too many!

Abear21166d ago

Never played it I gotta get on this one

Double_O_Revan166d ago

Me too. I didn't have a GC until way later and never played it. I've been waiting on Nintendo to release the HD edition on the Switch for forever, but they just won't!

FinalFantasyFanatic166d ago

I never bought a Gamecube, I've always had an urge to play this game, maybe it'll get a remaster in the future.

LoveSpuds166d ago

I played it on WiiU for the first time and it remains my fave Zelda game to date. So much character and a real sense of exploration without the open world bloat.

Petebloodyonion166d ago

Ms Pacman?
Robotron?
SSF2 Turbo over 3 simply by the 10000000000's ports of the game we're still having
Castlevania SOTN?
Zelda Link to the Past over Wind Waker
Super Mario Bros 3?
Chrono Trigger?
Resident evil4?
COD MW2 (the original)?
Uncharted 2
Metal Gear Solid?

Here's my reasoning for all of them versus the list proposed in the article.
They are still quite enjoyable from start to finish on their original platform, unlike some Wind Waker or Okami that are fun when you play the remastered version (unless you call: forced to watch a 20-minute cutscene or have to blow for wind chance constantly fun).
Some of them are the pinnacle of what the console could do (MGS, Chrono, MGS)
Lots of them are still considered the go-to-go game for their genre.

Said it before but Heart of Darkness is truly a timeless gem.
