Are TellTale Support The Real Walking Dead?

The Walking Dead has won over 70 Game of the Year awards, and many would agree that it was quite refreshing to see a zombie-based game that focused more on characterization and emotion than action.

However, as the trophy cabinets slowly begin to gather dust, there are a growing number of gamers who are left feeling rather disgruntled about their treatment from Telltale Games which has proved that a great game can be undermined by unreliability and bad after-sales support.

How did this get approved with a grammar screw up on word #1

GillHarrison4095d ago

The title is absolutely appalling. I can't believe it either.

Lol. I do agree that it can be frustrating. Sometimes i feel like i gey every glitch. In their defense, it is not easy to get info back once it has been corrupted for whatever reason. That being said, i think many PR people are far behind in their techniques and practices. I actually went to school not too long ago for PR (well, it wasnt a major but was a big part of my study). Even then, twitter and facebook were not taught. Awareness of new social media has made even recent PR thought archaic. The ideas are the same but the implementation has changed, and the speed is warp. Many companies, especially small, are not prepared. So much can be diffused and/or rectified with promt action. And confrontation is forbidden. I hate to see great gaming companies destroyed by ignorance. I hope gamers, especially younger ones who have no memory of a world pre social media, dont overreact or do too much damage. Yes, some companies, bigger ones, have no excuse for their blatant actions but telltale may not have been prepared.

bad spelling doesn't save the devs from the lazy truth.

my favorite was their promising inverted aim was coming. I buy a few more episodes then support emails me a month later and suddenly I'm a sucker for trusting them.

Telltale Games and the New Golden Standard for Storytelling

Before the announcement that a heavily narrative focussed Walking Dead video game was announced in 2012, Telltale games was a development studio that not particularly well known. Despite putting out other similar properties with Back to the Future: The Game and Jurassic Park: The Game, the products were largely met with a very mixed and ultimately tepid response from the public. The rampant acclaim and runaway success reached with The Walking Dead launched the developer into one of the most anticipated and favourable studios out there with one revolutionary product.

I think the walking dead story telling is amazing. I really love the games and think that they bring the respect of gaming story telling up in the world of entertainment in general :)
