You should care about what our lawmakers are doing when it comes to games. The US is a big enough market that if violent games were suddenly banned it would have ramifications for gaming around the world. Same for if it happened in the EU, whose overall market is close to the same as the US. If this kind of thing was happening there, then it would have my attention.

On the positive side, this demonizing of video games is just misdirection to turn people attention away from the real issues.

As someone who loves games and guns I'd say we need to stop pointing fingers at each other. Both are protected by our constitution, both are being scapegoated. We need to be looking at the true causes of violence.

What is it with these guys and guns? And please don't give me the "everyone has a right to protect themselves" speech, because I know too many people that are gun owners and they all live in very clean, suburban neighborhoods that are well-protected already and keep guns around for pure luxury (they're all republicans). All that doesn't bother me, really, but when a mass shooting happens, the blame game starts going down. When that happens, they blame anything but themselves for making guns so easy to get and sort of glorifying guns at the same time. "People kill people"? yeah... with guns.

Maybe this wack job can go look at the latest crime stats from the FBI. Last time I checked there were more deaths by blunt items and fist than guns. No, video games were not on the list.

Sure, many folks who play games may have some troubled lives. But folks who don't play games also have troubled lives.

I think its politicians who are the problem.

I wonder how many jobs are created by the video games industry versus the guns industry (and no i don't mean military industrial complex).

I see video games as people creating something for creativity and exploration sake, whereas guns are simply for the sake of destruction (or safetly)
