Crytek today revealed details of how itscutting-edge CRYENGINE game development technology will power the newly-announcedreal-time movie production software, Film Engine.
YouTube’s ‘club4ghz’ has released two videos, showcasing the performance difference between CRYENGINE V and CRYENGINE 3, as well as the performance difference between CRYENGINE V’s DX11 and DX12 modes.
CE5 has a higher framerate but CE3 looks better at times...
I guess this is because CE5 is just supposed to be a Cryengine for VR and not much more

That's bad news? Cryengine is nothing but a resource hog of an engine, give me an engine that can run games 60+fps any day over one that looks a bit better but runs like crap.
Anyhow, i can't wait to see what Source engine 2 is like, now that will rock. I'll upgrade my graphics card for sure when that one is released.
Just imagine next-gen GTA with this physics !
