The same thing that happen to the Vita. The price?

RuperttheBear4098d ago

The Ps3 sold worse when it launched, so we shouldn't count it out yet. Although many will.

AsimLeonheart4098d ago

Just what everybody is saying. It isnt selling and flopping hard. It is a fact whether Ninendo fans admit it or not. Oh and please dont compare it to PSVita. That is a HANDHELD.

Knight_Crawler4098d ago

Sony needs to stop denying that the price is an issue and drop it ASAP...look how bad the 3DS was selling at launch and as soon as Ninty dropped the price sales skyrocketed and the 3DS has maintained that momentum.

In some sort of way I feel sorry for Sony and the VITA becuase they are stuck between a rock and a hard place, in one hand they know that if the drop the price sales will pick up but on the other hand the investors will be pissed.

I am all for powerful tech but Sony needs to realize that that only company that can get away with selling electronics at a high price during these hard times is Apple...If Sony prices the PS4 at $500-$600 then I dont see Sony getting out of the mess that they are in.

Kevlar0094098d ago

My only guess is that there hasn't been much of a new incentive to buy one. Can't think of many new, amazing games that have come out for it in the last few weeks.

kneon4098d ago

I think the real problem is that most of the hardcore Nintendo fans have bought theirs already, but the mainstream consumers still don't care about it.

The Wii was selling like crazy because of all the hype with the moms buying it and telling their friends about it, that market has yet to materialize for the Wii U.

aceitman4098d ago

it will be nothing like the wii , the older audience that got wii which is a great chunk of there sales because of the wii bowling and games like that will not buy this .

user39158004098d ago

Well, I dont blame Big N, they placed the bet on less expensive hardware to earn better income, but the problem is what they have is a retro machine. I dont care what they make to be honest, I always like their software, heck Im a proud owner of a virtual boy lol... Problem is there is nothing special about it, cost too much for outdated hardware, people are expecting to see the ps4 and 360 before making their minds, and lets be honest, not much special has come out for the hardware.

Nintendo's Massacre Of The 3DS And Wii U Is Finally Complete, Regrettably

Hanzala from eXputer: "The cruel hammer of Nintendo has fallen. Farewell, 3DS and Wii U, you surely brightened my life and many others; you won't be forgotten."

Tales Of Graces Ƒ Retro Review – Holding Out For a Hero

Gary Green said: Namco Bandai heard the call of many fans asking for the PlayStation release of Tales of Graces which was originally released seemingly exclusively for the Wii back in 2009. If you’re acquainted with the Tales series then Graces f won’t be something entirely new to you, yet if you’re a newcomer then you’ll find a plethora of gameplay mechanics and nuances that distinguish this series from other JRPGs. While the game finds itself following the traditional archetype of JRPGs, such as a somewhat clichéd story, Graces has something to offer to both veterans and newcomers alike.

It's A Crime That There's No Sleeping Dogs 2 Yet

Huzaifah from eXputer: "Sleeping Dogs from the early 2010s is one of the best open-world games out there but in dire need of a resurgence."

LG_Fox_Brazil2d ago

I agree, I consider the first one a cult classic already

isarai2d ago

You say "yet" as if it's even possible anymore. United Front Games is gone, along with anyone that made this game what it is

CrimsonWing691d 16h ago

That’s what happens when games sell poorly. And I’ve seen people wonder why people cry when a game sells badly… this is your answer.

solideagle1d 15h ago

Majority of the time it's true but if a company/publisher is big (in terms of money), they can take a hit or 2. e.g. I am not worried about Rebirth sales as Square will make Remake 3 anyway but if FF 17 doesn't sell then Square might need to look for alternative. <-- my humble opinion

Abnor_Mal1d 15h ago

Doesn’t Microsoft own the IP now since they acquired Activision?

DaReapa1d 13h ago

No. Square Enix owns the IP.

Abnor_Mal1d 11h ago

Oh okay, Activision owned True Crime, but when that didn’t sell as intended it was canceled. Six months later Square Enix bought the rights and changed the title to Sleeping Dogs.*

Sleeping Dogs was a sleeper hit back then. It was fantastic. It actually still is. Would love a sequel to this, or at least a revive of True Crime series.
