The World War II shooter has been almost extinct for more than 5 years. Can it make a comeback anytime soon?
A very devoted fan of Call of Duty: World at War racks up incredible in-game stats while playing regularly for the past 15 years.
Of course you will hit a ridiculous stat after 15 of anything.
My main character for Everquest had over 500 days played in the first 6 years of the game. I was young then and had a lot of time on my hands. I don’t think I could duplicate that again until I retire and not sure I could match it if I tried.
EA: "As we close in on 15 years since the release of Battlefield 1943, and Bad Company™ 1 & 2, we are announcing that their journey is coming to an end."
This reminds me... I have ME on my PS3 hdd. Never really played it, but it was free.
On PC I don't think it's much of a problem but I'm sad to see BF43 being shut down. I haven't played it in a while since it's stuck on PS3, but i preferred it way more over BF3. It was the lack of invisible barriers which made it better for me.
Does anyone play the last BF anymore? I searched crossplay servers and it was 20 people the most on all the servers? Can never find a game
GF365: "Out of the many historically accurate games out there, these are our picks for the six best games that are historically accurate. While these games aren't completely accurate, they depict the times and situations of history well. Plus, they're all a lot of fun to play, too."
Historically accurate from the past is tough to truly know and judge especially the farther you go back because history is written from the people in power and doesn’t mean it’s the truth just the narrative they wanted to tell.
I don’t care about historically accurate in most games because they are games not biographies or history books . Just make the game fun , good gameplay and such .
Ghost of Tsushima wasn’t historically accurate in many things but I loved the game . Many examples like it .
Also a great way to remember the veterens of World War II. Over 600 WWII vets die every day.
So, we basically have have three time periods for shooters:
Modern day/near future
Future science fiction
World War II
Nothing else.
How about we get a Civil War shooter? Or the American revolution?
Noooooooooo!!! WWII FPS have gone way to far!!
Oh yes, definitely. I've missed them because they've been gone for too long. However, in light of the situation, Sniper Elite: V2 GOTY is coming out in March.
