Yeah they are real cars but the racing version of those cars... So instead of just a plain Porsche 911 they would do a Porsche 911 GT3-RSR - the racing version of that car. - http://xbox360media.ign.com...

Slightly off-topic question: Have Codemasters changed their minds on cockpit view yet?

I just can't seem to get myself excited for this game knowing I'll have to use chase view or hood view. D:

Nope still no Cockpit view and I am with you on that, I can't get excited about this game..

I already have a game with no cockpit view it's called -Need for speed Most wanted- and when you don't have cockpit view you know what happens the game gets really boring really quick...imo

Sometimes I like to take a turn from the cockpit view so I can get close and see what's going on, get a nice feel of the car... Cockpit view added a lot of fun in GRID 1 and to take that out was a serious mistake imo...

Although I will personally miss the cockpit view, apparently they have done research & online especially, people just don't use it. Its a waste of time doing it if most people wont use it.

I don't use it on Forza Horizon but i like the fact that is there i use it on Forza 4 tho, i think cockpit view had to be mandatory on every racing game from now on, one of the reasons i didn't like GT5 was because more than half the cars in the game didn't have cockpit view that's an option that has to be there doesn't matter if only 10% of the players use it.

That's a very good point, the only problem is... no one bothered to ask the GAMERS?

So for example- (and this was my own personal experience so I know many did the same thing) I played Online... and Most of the games would have lag.. sometimes bad sometimes not as bad.. --Why is that important you say???

Well with a little lag the cockpit view was non-useable because if you were in the cockpit view and a little lag happened a car that was far behind you was all of a sudden hitting you in the back and running you off the road.. -And your response every time would be what just happened right there- You couldn't tell it was lag from inside the car so you had to use the outside view so you can see what the hell was going on, because you can't see it was lag and that you were getting hit from another car on the side of you.

So playing online and using Cockpit view was not an option, if you wanted to know what the hell was going on.. -you can't see a car lagging from Cockpit view- BLAME codemasters because it's just how the game was made, lag issues.. So gamers online me included abandoned cockpit view when playing online..

I use Cockpit view all the time in GT5 and never have a problem, never.. Also most of my games in GT5 have little to no lag... None..

So when you say I'm going to take out cockpit view because our data shows no one is using it, and you don't bother to ask anyone? Why is no one using it... Then that's dumb.. Really dumb..

There using it, just not online..

Go to youtube and look at all the GT5 videos on youtube, I bet you 25 to 45 percent of them all have cockpit view either in the beginning or later in the race.. Why? It works fine in that game.. (people use it all the time)

So CodeMasters are idiots that was a terrible decision for such an epic game..

same here... I dont use cockpit view when I do serous racing online or offline, but when Im having fun, cockpit view is must have in racing/driving game!!
