This game looks really good. Wonder when it comes out

SpoonyRedMage4101d ago

Monado was first seen in an NOA press pack after E3 2009 and came out in Japan in 2010 as Xenoblade. Apparently they started work on it in 2007.

If they started work on X immediately after Xenoblade that means they've nearly had three years on it. I wouldn't be surprised if this was an early 2014 release in Japan. As for the western release... well it was shown in all three Nintendo Directs and they had bothered to translate the trailers so hopefully they're aiming for a much closer international release.

Funny how they show X in an American/western N direct and people say ''when they announce this for america if it's ever localized''

Everything in that Nintendo direct should be here within a Year from now roughly apart from Zelda which will take 1.5-2 years from now.

What's very interesting about this Game is if they manage to combine the Graphical fidelity shown with a Game that is the Same size or even bigger than Xenoblade chronicles 1.

If they manage to improve on what they shown visualy (which is inevitable) and pull that off in a Xenoblade chronicles sized game , You're looking at a SUPER IMPRESSIVE game if you will.

Just wow these graphics so early on in WiiU's lifespan is incredible.

On and all this finally a WiiU game that catches my attention rubbish or i have to buy a WiiU now rubbish makes me laugh what did you think Nintendo would do release no system sellers ?

Pikimin3 looks utter gorgeous if you can't see that your outright blind the close up shots are amazing the textures are Nextgen that the ps3 can only dream of and in that resolution with proper Anti alaising and colour ect.

Lego City Undercover.
Beyonetta2.
Windwaker HD.
Aliens CM.
Mariokart.
Mario world.
Zelda.
MH3 Ultimate.

ect all make WiiU attractive to proper core gamers.

Yea this really looks preety badass. I'm still hoping we here more about it soon. It don't matter to me which consul jrpgs get release on as long as they get released in the states. Nintendo has a good one again from the looks of it.

Army_of_Darkness4101d ago

This jrpg looks very promising if the in game graphics end up looking like this trailer or better when it comes out!

Steelmanner4100d ago

What you mean the only game? Have you seen Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate?

lilbroRx4101d ago

As much as like this game and as much as I would like Square to start making better game, I would rather Square not do it by copying other companies.

What the industry and Square need is more originality and creativity. We need less of the same old, same old.

Godmars2904101d ago

At one time Square owned Monolith, so yeah, there's that...

wishingW3L4101d ago

this game looks like if Monster Hunter and Armored Core had a baby.

Old McGroin4101d ago

Makes me damn excited for a Wii U Monster Hunter that takes advantage of the tech like this X does.

Qrphe4100d ago

Honestly, I'm not into the whole coop fighting from PSO that has been smeared onto this game. But I'll be fair and judge that aspect once they actually show something about this game.

metroid324098d ago (Edited 4098d ago )

Anyone that doubted the wiiu graphics take serious note these are incredible graphics on a 1st gen game.

CouldHaveYelledUiiW4101d ago

I am like the MMO Hud. It reminds me of WoW.

It looks like this one could have Internet connection and have the Drop-in-Drop-out Multiplayer.

Honestly, I would love for this to be a MMORPG- I just want to see what Nintendo could bring to the genre.

Best JRPG series of the last 5 years imo

repsahj208d ago

I agree 100%. My top JRPG so far, together with Baldurs Gate 3 and FF16.

autobotdan208d ago (Edited 208d ago )

There is no together at the top. There is only one top jrpg series. Xenoblade Chronicles series is alone at the top

raWfodog208d ago (Edited 208d ago )

I like the Xenoblades series but my ‘top’ series would be either the Trails series or Persona series. Just too many good games for me to just pick one series though, so I say play them all lol.

autobotdan208d ago

You are hereby excommunicated the church of Xenoblade Chronocology

CappyBlack207d ago

I'm not huge into JRPGs, but my favorite is easily the Persona series. It's all opinion though. Xenoblade is a great series.

repsahj208d ago

XC4 for Switch 2 for the win!! So excited!

phoenixwing207d ago

Also they might port over xenoblade x to the switch 2

Tetsuya Takahashi Wants The Next Xenoblade To Be Vastly Different From Previous Games

Tetsuya Takahashi has revealed his plan to make the next Xenoblade vastly different from previous games.

GotGame818239d ago (Edited 239d ago )

I liked the Xenoblade X formula. It takes awhile, but opening up Mechs was amazing. Especially once you can fly them, and use them in battle. You have to put some time into the game to do it, but it's worth it!

Also, the graphics were more realistic than the other games. Still looks good today, just a lot more pop-in than is acceptable today, hell even too much for back then. It wasn't game breaking though.

gleepot207d ago

Xenoblade 1-3 and X are so great. That said, I'm ready for them to do a big change up.

Lightning Mr Bubbles573d ago

Me being a Playstation guy and a huge JRPG fan, I can say that the only franchises I actually miss that are on Switch are The Fire Emblem series and The Xenoblade Chronicles series. I've played neither but I've heard good things. I've seen people play Xenoblade Chronicles games on youtube, and it seems like they think it's a big deal so I'm curious.

Rebel_Scum572d ago

As someone who doesnt like jrpg’s that much these days I went into Xenoblade Chronicles blind and had a blast. Reminded me of that golden age of 16-bit and 32-bit jrpgs. If thats the era you liked then it should hit the spot.

jznrpg572d ago

I only have a Switch for the games that don’t come on PlayStation . There aren’t a ton but there are some good ones.

repsahj572d ago (Edited 572d ago )

I agree with top 1, for me xenoblade chronicles 3(and 2) is one of the greatest jrpg to date. It's like the feeling of playing ff7 on ps1 for the first time again. Imagine if XC3 was done with ps5 graphics, that will be magical. I might get the xc remaster before the year ends or after I got the platinum trophy of GoW ragnarok.

jznrpg572d ago

I didn’t care for 2 as much . It’s good but 3 is sooo much better than so is the first one imo .

repsahj572d ago

yeah I agree, but much better than any recent jrpg releases.
