I love the franchise... just fix the lag and make guild system more accesible and easy to understand

jon12344098d ago (Edited 4098d ago )

the Covenants were actually pretty easy to understand, im also kind of glad that they didnt explain it to well, that way your forced to figure out what to do for yourself or ask a friend or people on the internet. i also like that it didnt hold your hand throughout the game... and i hope it stays that way in the next one and not make it noob friendly

Why is this a current gen game?
I will get it on pc then.

Nice, I really can't wait!

I recently tried dark souls, and i do not like it. It just fell like their was no story. When i play a game with hardly any story, i need a coop mode or i get bored really fast. Dont get me wrong though, it had very good gameplay and does gloomy really well. I am sure for many it is a great game, i just know i would pick a game like the witcher 2 over it any day.

Dark Souls does have a story but it's no always in your face. Read item descriptions, talk to npcs and explore to find out the story.

Dark Souls also has co-op. You can summon other players to help with boss battles ... at a cost. Unhollowing (for co-op) also means other players can invade your world and try to kill you!

I honestly found it a overall very confusing experience. Maybe next one could have tutorial on using features like coop. As for story, i only played 10hr and to the big blacksmith, which i accidently hit and he killed me every time i went downstairs. I could not continue to next room w/ the demon because as soon as he saw me he killed me. I have no problems with a challenge or getting frustrated. He was impossible on lv30 with that drake sword and even if i could defeat him, i believe i would have lost access to his key thing to open a certain door

Talk to Oswald at top of perish to be forgiven for your sins. Being forgiven costs souls.

You can also kill blacksmith and he drops the key.

This is why im NOT looking forward to Dark Saouls 2, because your going to get everything you want, and im going to be left with a dumbed down action rpg

If you didn't enjoy it, that's your loss, and I'm sorry.

But if even an iota of what you suggested comes to pass, I'm going to be so pissed.

The game isn't good though.

DS2 was fine. While there was a bit of recycling assets or ideas for bosses, it was a bigger more open Dark Souls. The Fume knight boss is one of the hardest bosses in the series until Sekiro and Elden Ring were released.

The problem with Dark Souls 2 was the same problem when a different director takes over for a sequel to an outstanding movie. It typically (there are exceptions) doesn’t have the feel and vision of the previous movie.

I wouldn’t say Dark Souls 2 is terrible. Had Dark Souls 1 never been a thing and we got this, I think it would have been praised more. The problem is it didn’t have the Miyazaki touch to it and felt pretty derivative. The soundtrack is a banger though.

And it will happen in the future when he doesn’t touch them as he is planning on.

I like DS 2, might even be my favorite of the 3. But it's a hard sell, there's so many obscure things you need to do to make it an enjoyable experience. So always find it hard to recommend, but it is worth the trouble.

All the bosses are only from Dark Souls. No Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring, or Demon Souls
