A new Metroid, Star Fox, F-Zero or even Earthbound(unlikely) would be awesome. It's been awhile since we have seen Fox in action.

You guys don't want New IPs? wtf

jakmckratos4099d ago

I just pray to god the Retro studios title isn't another 2-D side scroller --____--

Donkey Kong (3-D Side-scroller) was fun and critically acclaimed-

BUT you are 100% right.

RETRO needs to make something that embodies all of the Modern Western gaming trends but infuses it with Nintendoisms (Gameplay).

Voice acting.
(a type of) Photo Realism
Teen to Mature subject matter

If Nintendo want the ("So-called") Core they need to speak their language- Photo Realistic Graphics (not AWESOME stylized art directions graphics like Wind Waker).

Personally, I like Nintendo either way.

I would love to have a Metroid that was a GTA/Splinter Cell/Prey 2/Dues Ex . In a Inhabited Sprawling Metropolis that allowed you to Bounty Hunt non-linear- Use Zero suit Stealth or Suit firepower- with conversations, music, concerts, cars, families... all surrounding Samus.

(This way you would not have to lose your powers at the beginning + the Metroids don't have to be in every game. The name Samus is bigger than Metroid by now).

I don't mind the art direction..

But what would be awesome is if they made a game more for adults like Conker.. hmm i wonder if a 3D game like DK64 would work on Wii U with adult humor.

kirbyu4099d ago

I hope Retro's game isn't Star Fox. Those games suck.

pr0t0typeknuckles4099d ago

id rather retro make the next metroid, that would be a good announcement.

FlyingFoxy4099d ago

I know what would be interesting for Star Fox, either have it similar to Star Fox adventures (never played it) but have most of the game take place using Vehicles like the 64 game, or have no adventure aspect but have a lot more levels & different paths.

The problem with the way starfox is, is that with the limited amount of stages and the fact it's an on rails game means you go through it rather fast, it needs more meat to it or something to make it a lot more replayable. Plus harder bosses wouldn't hurt..

Looking Ahead: The Lingering Questions About the Next Mario Kart

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "10 years. It’s been almost 10 years since the last mainline release in the Mario Kart series. Mario Kart 8 came out for the Wii U in 2014 and became the best-selling game for the system by a sizeable margin, and later pulled the same magic trick on the Nintendo Switch under the stage name Deluxe. All in all, it's sold nearly 70 million copies over the last decade and is still selling like hot cakes to this day, so it’s no wonder Nintendo has been in no rush to replace it. However, with rumors of a new system being just around the corner, and reports a few years back that a new Mario Kart is indeed under way, it seems the era of 8 might very well be drawing to a close. It’s an exciting prospect to be sure, but after two Nintendo systems with Mario Kart 8 at their heart, a lot of questions remain about how Nintendo will choose to follow it up."

I hope they just keep building on Mario Kart 8; Add a track-creation tool, and probably open it up to more Nintendo IPs with new tracks and characters, so Metroid, Punch Out, Starfox, Animal Crossing, etc etc.

there wont be a new one until the switch 2 comes out.

nintendo needs their bangers early on
