Dildos Don’t Get Awards – The Future of Saints Row with Deep Silver

With the ownership of the Saints Row franchise switching hands to Deep Silver, the chance that we will see a new take on the series is rather likely. As we are still figuring out the details surrounding the demise of THQ, the Daily Reaction crew of Seb and Dan discuss what this could mean for GTA’s biggest competitor, Saints Row.

This, plus that Sony controller patent, means great things for the sex toy industry. New levels of immersion.

i know SR fans think SR3 sold ok so game must be good but Sr2 was a much much better game overall. GTA was crazy on ps2 yet it was also serious

i am a huge open world games fan so more games in genre is better but SR4 needs to be done right and not just got after the craziness.

SR series has potential but when you only go after craziness and silliness you are not going after a lot of fans who otherwise buy open world games, so why limit your fan base

I hope Deep Silver doesn't F up the game and release it with a lot of Bugs like 1st dead island

do SR4 right, look at sleeping dogs you could do a lot of crazy stuff yet the game has a proper tone of seriousness and fun. The story in SR3 sucked if there was a story

let's say F word 10.000 times
lets go blow this building or kill this person and do it gangster style

I have high hopes for Sr4

Who is the stunning man in that picture?

Foolsjoker4106d ago

I think he was an extra from The Hobbit.

Obnoxious_Informer4106d ago

Who ever he is, he clearly has an eye popping level of experience with the penetrator.

R.I.P Saints row had a good time while it lasted.

SilentNegotiator4106d ago

Hey, Saints Row 2 was SUBSTANTIALLY more grounded (figuratively), but still silly and great.

If they can keep how much more vertical SR3 was and have the better story/characters of SR1&2, they could have something that much better.

I think Deep Silver will have a "hands off" approach with Volition and allow them to do as they please. In this day and age where publishers are cutting costs left and right by removing the game manuals, Deep Silver aren't. I took a look at my Dead Island booklet today and its there, it's thick and it is full color. This just makes me feel like they do care.

Saints Row 4 FPS (nothing like sky diving in first person view swinging dildos, and so fworth and so on..

FarCryLover1824106d ago

I don't think it will be first person in any way, shape, or form.

J86blum4106d ago

I don't either. just throwing randomness out there. If they do a SR4 I just hope its funny, or even a prequel title maybe it can be about Johnny.

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming
