I'm actually pretty excited about this.

Theyellowflash304103d ago

Yes, this is Xenoblade 2 or a game in the Xenoblade Universe. Check out this article here.

Just look at the size of the monsters, wow. Whatever it is, it's going to be special.

stuntman_mike4103d ago

sadly I never got to play Xenoblade chronicles (not for the want of trying, people are charging way to much for it.) this looks amazing tho, maybe they will release the first xenoblade in HD along with it?

vallencer4103d ago

Search around at gamestops. It's still only 50 bucks and it's completely worth it.

stuntman_mike4103d ago

I'm in the UK they don't have any gamestops where I live only GAME. But luckily I found it for £20 used at blockbuster today, result!.

Well, those spiky hills growing up to the right at the beginning of the trailer do look like the ones on the Bionis' Leg. That guy near the end of the trailer is IDENTICAL to Shulk and I'm not gonna spoil it but, yeah the mech explanation in the article makes sense to me because I thought the same after watching the trailer.

Adnan_rules4103d ago

exactly made sense to me too

Best JRPG series of the last 5 years imo

repsahj208d ago

I agree 100%. My top JRPG so far, together with Baldurs Gate 3 and FF16.

autobotdan208d ago (Edited 208d ago )

There is no together at the top. There is only one top jrpg series. Xenoblade Chronicles series is alone at the top

raWfodog208d ago (Edited 208d ago )

I like the Xenoblades series but my ‘top’ series would be either the Trails series or Persona series. Just too many good games for me to just pick one series though, so I say play them all lol.

autobotdan208d ago

You are hereby excommunicated the church of Xenoblade Chronocology

CappyBlack207d ago

I'm not huge into JRPGs, but my favorite is easily the Persona series. It's all opinion though. Xenoblade is a great series.

XC4 for Switch 2 for the win!! So excited!

phoenixwing208d ago

Tetsuya Takahashi Wants The Next Xenoblade To Be Vastly Different From Previous Games

Tetsuya Takahashi has revealed his plan to make the next Xenoblade vastly different from previous games.

GotGame818239d ago (Edited 239d ago )

I liked the Xenoblade X formula. It takes awhile, but opening up Mechs was amazing. Especially once you can fly them, and use them in battle. You have to put some time into the game to do it, but it's worth it!

Also, the graphics were more realistic than the other games. Still looks good today, just a lot more pop-in than is acceptable today, hell even too much for back then. It wasn't game breaking though.

gleepot208d ago

Xenoblade 1-3 and X are so great. That said, I'm ready for them to do a big change up.

No surprise there. They helped out in BOTW as well. Monolith Soft is one of Nintendo's hardest working studios. When they aren't making their own games they help other Nintendo studios with their games.

This comment literally added nothing, and all you did was repeat the headline lol

Still one of the best and most underrated map designers in the industry. Always loved their environments even back on Xenoblade Chronicles X

Zeldafan64342d ago (Edited 342d ago )

The amount of hidden caves and other secrets in ALL the Xenoblade games is staggering.

Tacoboto342d ago

Underrated might not be the best term but their developed titles are on the lower end of the sales spectrum relative to Nintendo's power hits.

Xenoblade sells more like Metroid than Mario, basically. "Underappreciated" might be better.

Class_Viceroy342d ago

Because people always have to say things are either underrated or overrated. Can never just be in the middle, it’s not allowed

jznrpg342d ago

I do like Xenoblade better than Zelda so in a way to me they are underrated .

isarai342d ago (Edited 342d ago )

When it comes to open world maps it's always rockstar, Ubisoft, etc etc and while the Zelda games get plenty of recognition, their other titles are never mentioned yet they are just as good. Honestly one of the very few devs willing to pack the hell out of their maps with unique secrets and storytelling that you can ONLY find by exploring whereas most other games make sure you see anything unique by attaching it to a quest. I love the idea of interesting things just existing without any exposition or context. It's just there, and it's beautiful, and any explanation of it has been lost to time, I love that
