Oh look, a website missing the point completely of why many fans dislike the Devil may cry reboot, what a refreshing novelty... /S

ziggurcat4103d ago

oh look, another devil may crybaby thinking that his complaints of the reboot are legitimate, and aren't just a byproduct of the initial reaction to the re-imagined dante character model.

zerocrossing4103d ago (Edited 4103d ago )

Devil may crybaby? Im simply blown away by the originality going on in here.

So you won't even consider the fact that some people just legitimately dislike DmC?

Information Minister4103d ago (Edited 4103d ago )

Oh please, by all means, educate us on what a legitimate complaint is!

I would love to know if the reasons for my personal dislike of Donte may Cry do qualify as such:

- complaint #1: no lock-on, resulting in imprecise controls.
- complaint #2: 30 fps, resulting in unresponsive controls.
- complaint #3: the F-bomb based dialog, which just cheapens the game.
- complaint #4: the generic art direction, that lacks the atmosphere of the previous games (no, it's not just the main character).
- complaint#5: the DLC milking that is guaranteed to be around the corner with Capcom.

Considering your bubble count, you'll have to excuse me if I'm not holding my breath for an answer. Oh, and I don't read hate mail, so don't bother.

*EDIT* Almost forgot about complaint#6: the total lack of respect by the developer towards fans of the classic DMC games.

oh look another idiot that thinks that the only reason people hate DmC is because of the hair, if that was the case then i would be dying to play this game once the real dante costume comes out, forget the no lock on, the over immature dialogue, the downgraded gameplay, DmC is obviously a perfect game, GTFO

Outside of the DLC remark, your entire argument is trash. I suggest actually playing the game before making statements you aren't qualified to make. You'll appear FAR less moronic next time.

Information Minister4102d ago (Edited 4102d ago )

I beg you pardon... I had no idea that DmC was now running in 60 fps, with a lock-on button and completely revised dialog. The game sure has changed a lot since the demo./s

The only point in my reply that can even remotely be considered subjective is the one about the art direction. All the others are FACTS!

Next time you call someone's arguments trash, try to present a counterargument. They're not trash just because you say so. You'll appear FAR less moronic next time.

Its either the chracters new looks, story, or gameplay. Personally im completely fine with all 3.

Tzuno4103d ago

I finished the game, music is bad ass Dante is bad ass, the only downside is that you spend to much time platforming run and jump than rather fight. I suggest to buy it under 40$ or rent.

I know a great way to put out a fire, MORE GASOLINE!!!!

Whitefox7894103d ago

So I see your already a fan of Killer is Dead :D

Kyosuke_Sanada4103d ago (Edited 4103d ago )

Yeah. I know it will barely (if it even has any) ties with Killer 7 but it looks like it will deliver the weirdness it had. I love Shadow Of the Damned and Lollipop Chainsaw as well but they were a little too straightforward for me.

Ranking the Devil May Cry Series

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."

First to last for me...3,4,5,1,2.

VersusDMC2h ago

Me leaving it out should be telling of my thoughts on it. Better than 2 as a DMC game.

Still a good game though.

Friendlygamer3h ago

3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

monkey6023h ago(Edited 2h ago)

2.
Dmc.
4.
5.
1.
3.

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best

Yui_Suzumiya1h ago

1 and DmC. The rest are unimportant.

DarXyde1h ago

Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...

5, 3, 1, 4, 2.

I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.

But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me
