First Bayonetta 2 video released

Watch the Bayonetta 2 development team in action as they bring us up to speed on the game.

iamnsuperman4104d ago

That is a little odd to show this before a gameplay trailer

metroid324104d ago

Everything u see is in game assets so what's ur problem it's an obvious upgrade over Beyonetta1 as that had poor graphics in comparison it will do me.

NeXXXuS4104d ago

I really hope that they release this on PS3 and 360 after it's been on the WiiU for a little while. I really loved the first one.

--Onilink--4104d ago

not happening. Nintendo is the publisher and they certainly dont let go of their games. Thats why the GoldenEye arcade port that was going to be released for Live never happened.

Well, who knows what can actually happens, but chances are slim to none

shutUpAndTakeMyMoney4104d ago

This will be a very big game for nintendo. Most likely a fall game 2014.

lol..

interesting that they even have listings for a PS3 or 360 version..

Can't see that happening since Nintendo saved the game from limbo by partnering with Platinum and act as publishers on the game.

OmegaSlayer4104d ago

I don't count on it either, and it's a shame.
I've made a history of trolling Kamiya, Platinum and so on about this game.
I don't blame Nintendo, I blame Sega for not believing in the franchise despite 2 millions of copies sold.
I understand Sony to a certain extent since Bayo on PS3 was underwhelming and poor, I understand Microsoft completely because they only buy time exclusivity on DLCs. :p

Silly fanboysm aside, a franchise going from multi to exclusive is bad for the gaming business.
I seriously doubt Bayo2 will sell as much as the first

@OmegaSlayer

"a franchise going from multi to exclusive is bad for the gaming business"
I agree that this totally sucks. But I think it's worse that this franchise HAD to go from multi to exclusive because no publisher would save it. Even the original Bayonetta, a well reviewed game that sold over 2 million copies, was considered a failure. It's crazy. I don't know what's going to happen in the coming gen but I don't know how medium sized gaming companies will survive.

OmegaSlayer4104d ago (Edited 4104d ago )

@ElectricKaibutsu

Exactly what I think, it was my premise.
I always act like a fanboy around and love to troll a little, because it's fun to see younger people get pissed, but...yeah, a title selling millions considered a failure it's insane, wrong, bad.
Very few action games got past that milestone, neither Darksiders 1, nor Castlevania LOS, nor Dragon's Dogma and DMC4 and Ninja Gaiden 2 just passed 2 millions with lots of sweat and years.
A miracle and a blessing to see how much Dark Souls sold.
And lots of other good titles fell very short like Vanquish and Binary Domain to name 2 great JPN titles.
It's sad to see where the industry is going.
That's a reason why I don't like Nintendo on one side, because it always goes for simple games and cartoonish look and the Western developers on the other going all for realism and gritty.
We're losing all the magic in the middle.

while some of Nintendo's games may appear child-like in nature, I can guarantee you that most of the beloved Nintendo IP's appeal to kids, but require some serious skill to achieve the full results.

The original Legend of Zelda was in now way designed for little kids, that game was a beast to try to finish. And asking a 7 year old to 100% Mario 64 and find all the Power Stars was no easy chore.

Obviously I am happy to see Bayonetta 2 on the Wii U since I own the console and am excited for it, however I do agree that when a multiplat goes exclusive, everybody suffers. 360 and PS3 owners will suffer because they won't be able to play the game, and the game itself may suffer because the install base on the Wii U may not be high enough to give the game it's full credit. But if the game looks and plays good enough, then I am sure it will sell just fine on the Wii U. If it garners high scores and great reviews, Wii U owners will want to play it.

U can see the in game graphics on the main character and the scope of the environments is ridiculous honestly you can travel from place to place wow NEXTGEN for sure.

Why Bayonetta 3 Is a Step Down From Its Predecessor

Many fans have been expressing their disappointment with Bayonetta 3. Here's why the recently released game is a clear step down from Bayonetta 2.

MadLad496d ago (Edited 496d ago )

Yet the Switch is much more powerful than the Wii U - the platform the second game released on. So you're just being negative to be negative with that comment.

anast496d ago

The voice acting wasn't as good...

jBlakeeper495d ago

Bayonetta herself doesn’t even look as good design wise.

-Foxtrot495d ago

I thought they focused on big kaiju like fights which felt gimmicky and thy brought this new character in to try and get away from the leading star

*Spoilers*

I mean they pretty much killed 3 big characters. They killed Jeanne, Luka and Bayonetta herself and it's not the fact they died it's how they died, we've seen Jeanne and Bayonetta survive countless things yet they go out by the lamest ways possible.
