Not too many, I check reviews and gamefly things I'm unsure of, and rarely buy games day 1 unless they've proven themselves.

1. Playing a copy of Vampire's Rain my cousin bought. AWFUL GAME.
2. Heavenly Sword. Enjoyed the game, but 5 hours is not a $60 game.

Mine was COD W@W, I had to choice between that and Fallout 3 I really wish I picked up the latter instead, the former is actually one of the most unpleasant gaming experiences I've ever had to endure , dreadful game

Oh and Socom confrontation , how could I forget that game was a massive f#%k you to a Socom fan , it felt less of a game but more of a pre alpha with each an every patch feeling like a portion of new build, I regret buying it because my hopes of it becoming better eventually via patches were crushed

You know I more regret the stuff I either didn't buy like Radiant Historia or stuff I sold like my old snes/n64/GameCube games. I do regret some games I bought day 1 which is why I stopped unless they're jrpgs that may become rare or stuff like Ni No Kuni which I don't mind paying extra for in hopes of a sequel.

Kinda regret the vita though. I love it but I should've waited till thanksgiving when I could've saved a hundred bucks on it and all the ps plus games I got I had already bought kinda making me feel jipped. Resistance BS was part of that vita remorse also lol. Still p4 justifies my lack of self control and patience.

Holy shit I forgot I did buy Venetica on a Black Friday deal and damn was that game a POS. horrible judgement on my part and prob the worst ten dollars I ever spent on gaming.

Ive traded in dozens of genesis and snes games in the past. I dont do that anymore. Now im on a quest to get back all the ones I traded away and some I never had.

To be honest my biggest regret thus far is the Nintendo Wii U. Not anything worth playing right now after Mario, and nothing interesting coming up. Right now I'm trying to resell it at market value to recoup the cost and then maybe purchase it down the line after a price drop.

A close second is the regular Nintendo Wii system. Bought it played it barely and it sat gathering dust.

I feel the same about my Vita. it's just an incredibly sexy paper weight right now after finishing UCGA , Gravity rush .

Also , you're in for a shock when 720 and ps4 launch , cus the launch window is going to be very similar to Nintendo in the sense that you will have a lot of previous gen games just with slightly updated graphics , and a few rushed games.

I have Mario and COD Black Ops 2. Mario was okay, but I liked it a lot less than the Wii Mario. I'm a big fan of some games from Nintendo, but nothing releasing soon leads me to believe I should have just waited for either a price drop or to buy it cheap second hand. The only game coming up that I'm going to buy is the Lego game, but other than that I'm left waiting for a mario party/kart, Zelda, DK, or Banjo game. I really was foolish for buying it, but I have to have all the newest gadgets. As for the new PS4 I'll get it launch for sure, but I'll probably have regrets about it as well.

Other than the two Wii's though I have no regrets. I've never bought a hand held system other than Gameboy and console wise additionally I've owned Nintento, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, PS1/2/3 and have thoroughly enjoyed all of those.

I have a wiiU and the only game I have for it is zombieu and mario game. I actually won the Wii u from work. But I use to love mario games but I've gotten older Mario games kind of lost its fun factor. my wife is currently playing the Mario game and she hates the contoller. LOL. But you brought up Mario party, I was wondering how would it work? Do we need to buy multiple tablets? But ky biggest regret is getting the Wii. I played the sport game that came with it for about a week and since then I've never touched it and its been 5 years.

Ooooo thats a nasty one especially on the PS3 which was almost unplayable when it came out. Remember the nasty bug that would cause the console to freeze everytime you entered water with the character and remember that Bethesda took over a month to fix that.

The Wii was extremely regrettable for me though as well as the XBOX360 when Microsoft went crazy with kinect.

Yeah. The PS3 version of Oblivion wasn't without some problems here and there, but it was overall playable for dang sure, even with no patches. I expected similar of Skyrim but daaang. I had to trade it in soon after. Will get it again when I have a good enough PC, I think.

Kid Icarus Uprising. I waited so long for it, and ended up hating it. It's really the only 3DS game besides Madden that let me down. The 3D was god-awful on Madden 3D, and there was no multiplayer.

I think my answer has to Fallout New Vegas. As much as I loved it, it wasn't better than F3 (IMO!) and it quickly became a very sour experience when I was playing it at launch. (due to countless glithes/bugs)

Agreed. New Vegas is one of my biggest disappointment. Played the reaping sh*t out of fallout 3 and all the dlc for it. Tried really hard for about a week like NV, just couldn't for some reason. Still can't understand why. It felt like the same game in many ways :/

I'm not gunna disagree with you because that is a very valid opinion, but personally, as a huge fan of Fallout 1 and 2, I liked NV better than FO3. Since it was developed by Obsidian, it just felt more in tune with the lore of the Fallout universe.

Asura's Wrath for PS3. I got the game because everyone was telling me how good it was. It just wasn't my cup of tea. I spent about 3 hours watching cut scenes and then when I finally got to actually play the game, it just seemed like a mediocre hack n slash game. I really did try and it a chance. I played (well watched) four hours and decided that it was the biggest waste of money I have ever spent on a disk.

As much as I liked Infamous it was it. Well the story goes like this, I believe is was 30$ at that time. So I go to buy Uncharted 2 at the time there was a buy 1 get one free, my mind went blank and forgot how much I also wanted Arkham Asylum. Had forgot it even existed when I was there(Toys R Us -_-) so I ended up getting a 30$ game that I wasn't too much interested in at the time, well I had to buy Arkham Asylum for 60$ two weeks later.

I have three surprising ones. My xbox 360. It's died on me 3 times. After the 2nd time it died on me I was scared to even play it that I waited like 3 years later to play it only to die on me again. Now it's passed its extended warranty and have to pay to fix it. I bought a PS3 w/ Resistance and I hated it! I traded it in for Motorstorm!

The second is actually Dishonored for the ps3. Everyone loves it; but I find it super boring. Not my cup of tea I suppose. Traded it in for Ni No Kuni. And those are the only two games I have EVER traded in!

So far in consoles, there's nothing I regret. I own all PlayStations and love all of them.
But games... I regret buying MW3. I bought it over Resistance 3 (stupid move, I know) and when I played the game, I didn't like it at all. I had no more money left, and by the time I got MORE money, I needed to get other games. D: but thankfully, I got Resistance 3. :D

A xbox 360. I recently bought one just for black ops 2 because the ps3 version was freezin and I finally wanted to see how superior Live was. Boy was i let down. I wasted nearly $200(used 360 and 12month card on craigslist). 360 lags just the same As PSN. Also 360 has Wayyyyy to many annoying little kids.

Final Fantasy 13 is one that comes to mind for me. I heard I had to play 25 hours just to get past hitting X mindlessly. Made it to 12 hours and sold that after reading I had to get to 25 or so hours before I could enjoy the game. During the 12 hours I actually found it so mindlessly boring at times I fell asleep twice!

For Calendar year 2012, I would say the Astro A-50 wireless headset. I normally wouldnt have spent $300 on a headset, but, it was a Xmas present to myself, and I read some real positive reviews. I play a lot of Bops Zombies, and although the clarity was there and the comfort was like wearing comfy slippers, the sense of direction was way off for some reason, so I took them back. Couldnt tell if a zombie was behind me or in front of me.

Crysis 2 (sort of), Heavy Rain, Kengo: Master of Bushido (it was second hand for like a fiver though so I can't really complain.), Fallout 3, Heavenly Sword (sort of), the regular version of Oblivion, before I was forced to buy the GOTY version which came out soon after. I sort of regret buying Persona 4 last year now that Golden came out.

No regrets on the console front though, except maybe the Gameboy Advance, but that was a long time ago and I was too young to care. That and I didn't pay for it.

I cant really think of any game I regret buying besides Duke Nukem Forever at launch I should of waited a few months and got it for a mere $10. I don't regret buying the game and owning it at all as I am a huge fan but I regret paying full price.

The only hardware I regret buying was PSP GO, only reason I got that is because I found it at a reasonable price and I thought I might enjoy it.

Anything that supports EA. I've grown to hate that company very very much over the last two years. They're completely killing the soul of every franchise they own by forcing mass-appeal unto the games, or making developers release it unfinished. FIFA 12 is a glitchy mess, and ME3 was so rushed. I won't even mention what's wrong with Dragon Age 2, even if it had a fine story.
