Nice, pretty pricy though for people that already own the game. I never finished it so this will draw me back in

Kalowest4102d ago

Despite hating Capcom, they did alot of things right with Dragon's Dogma. I rented the game from Gamefly, so I cant wait to actually own it now.

@shammgod You can do it, finish that game, lol. DD is also a easy plat.

shammgod4102d ago

Definitely! I have always planned on completing this one. It is an awesome game

MysticStrummer4102d ago

Hopefullly there will be a download for just the extra content. I have the original game and love it, but I doubt I'd buy it again for the extra stuff unless it was $20 or less. One of my most anticipated games of the year (Defiance) is out in April so I'll wait on this but definitely get it eventually for the right price. I finished the main game nearly three times before I got distracted by some other game. Fun stuff.

dc14102d ago

..ok. I will say it.

Please! Take my Money!!!

Dragons Dogma is one of the best, most ambitious (however, greatly maligned) western "styled" RPGs of this generation.

I say this in full knowledge that it was developed/conceived from the east.

Kalowest4102d ago (Edited 4102d ago )

Does the other "most ambitious western "styled" RPGs" happen to be the Souls Series?

@Good_Guy_Jamal- You mean the The Witcher Series, and they're the best of the western RPGs.

dc14102d ago (Edited 4102d ago )

The souls series are on a different planet of greatness. Almost a genre in and of it self.

It is the only game that I would take off of work to enjoy upon release.
Man..I really hope Dark Souls 2 doesn't get screwed up.

And to answer your question: Yes.

ApolloTheBoss4102d ago

So wait if you didn't buy the main game you get it free when you buy this?

Hanso4102d ago

YES
im glad i skipped the beta version too
LMAO cacpcom games never worth it buying day 1 always wait for ultra edition lol lol

JAMurida4102d ago (Edited 4102d ago )

Looks good and I'll get it, but they REALLY need to up the difficulty. At least scale the mobs to your level. And I wonder how getting these new skills will work. I guess they are increasing the vocation level maybe? My pawn and my main character are level 200, with max discipline points, so I guess I can learn the new stuff right off the bat?

And another note, +1 for the Japanese voice options.

Neckbear4102d ago

They released a hard mode already. And that's without considering that this is supposed to be a post-game quest, ergo, the mob levels will be rather high.

That said, why on earth would you actually ask for level scaling? Are you mad?

JAMurida4102d ago

All hard mode did was make it to where you (the player only) took more damage and make your skills cost about 50% more to use. The mobs were still as easy to kill and stayed the same. If anything hard mode makes the game easier, since the money drops are really high (you get like 10k off of a goblin sometimes).

With that said, I would gladly take scaled mobs over what they offered with "hard mode"

You Can Now Get The First Dragon's Dogma For Less Than $5 Before The Sequel Arrives

Ahead of Dragon's Dogma 2's global release, the first iteration in the series by Capcom has been discounted by 84% on Steam.

sushimama34d ago

If anyone is wondering the first one still holds up well to this day. It's fun

Grandia, Klonoa, and Parappa... NICE!

MrBaskerville154d ago (Edited 154d ago )

Grandia is especially nice, as I don't think it's available on psn atm. Wonder if it's a psx port or the Switch version.

If they didn't despise ps2, they could have added Grandia 2-3 as well.

shinoff2183153d ago

It's not a despise. Far as I've read their working on better emulation. It'll come.

LG_Fox_Brazil154d ago

GRANDIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Fckn love that game

StormSnooper153d ago

Is it good? I never played that.

crazyCoconuts154d ago

Been thinking of getting Teardown on Steam for Steam Deck play. Heard a lot of great reviews for it.

MrBeatdown153d ago

Played the first half hour last night. All I did was wreck a building but what a blast.

Elda154d ago

Nothing of interest for me. My sub is up in 2 weeks & I'll go with Essentials only for cloud saves & online. Having Extra or Premium is a waste for me seeing most games that land on the service are old that I've played already or old games I never had any interest in playing.

crazyCoconuts154d ago

Respect your opinion, just pointing out that Teardown is a Day One Extra release for PS, not an old game in this case. Gotham Knights last month was a year old.

Elda154d ago

I have no interest in Teardown. I bought & played Gotham Knights when it was first released in October 2022. Every month I'm always buying the latest AAA or AA games when they first release to play on my PS5, the very reason why Extra & Premium is a waste of money for me.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Alternatives – 7 Top Games Like Baldur’s Gate 3

Baldur’s Gate is a name synonymous with party-based fantasy RPG games. There’s still a stretch of time until the third instalment finally leaves early access. While you’re waiting for the gates to open and welcome you to Forgotten Realms, you might be looking for similar games to ease the wait.

anast279d ago

Some good games on that list.

FalcorMononoke279d ago (Edited 279d ago )

In my personal opinion, Divinity Original Sin 2 is better than any of the Baldur's Gate games.

Becuzisaid278d ago

Are you including BG3 in that comparison? Or just the first 2? The first 2 are tough to get into now, and I never liked the ad&d rules. The 5e rules are much easier to grasp. But BG3 seems to be just DOS2 but times 10. Haven't played it in early access at all, just going by what I see online.

Nittdarko278d ago

hilarious because the game that is most like BG3 and a game every DND fan should try is Solasta and its not even on this list
