Tell me about it dude. Just got dmc and ni no nuki today. Then I got to pick up Dead space 3 and sly in Feb with tomb raider and GOW:A in March. It Sucks for my wallet but as a gamer I'm truly satisfied.

You know I'm typically the guy that buys every major release, but nothing in 2013 has my interest as of yet.

Perhaps I'm entering a gaming-lull, or have too much backlogged from 2012, or the looming next-gen is nearing.

But, regardless, I'm not seeing the packed 2013 that you two are.

BTW DS3 will likely be twice as long if you happen to play it once in single player, and again in Co-Op for those who were too scared to play it alone (the entire reason they put in Co-Op and more shooter/cover mechanics, to whore and dilute the franchise in a vain attempt to sell more copies to a more mainstream audience).

The same goes for the co-op. The cutscenes are different and enemies/actions are all rearranged. Visceral really made it a lot more work for themselves, but hopefully the game will stand up for it.

Those games were already pretty long in their own rights too, so this one is looking like it will be a beast. Anyone going for Platinum or 1000 Gamerscore is going to be in for a hell of a ride.

There's probably a lot of secondary objectives and narrative-collectibles adding to the overall "size" of the game, but I can't say no to more Dead Space.

First off, Dead Space 1 was my sh^&!!!! I never really got the chance to play the 2nd fully, but it was shaping up to be my sh*& ! Here is hoping that Part three will be .... my sh^t

I agree, I think what did it for me was the closed quarter action, with the lighting effects. Have you tried Dead space for the tablet yet, its pretty damn good! I had an ipad before I sold it and I had that game on it, and man was it good.

I was about the suggest the same thing. I can't say much until I play the game but based on everything shown, I cannot see where the scares will be coming from.

It points to the classic "quality over quantity" line, and I hope that as well as being long it is actually something that will scare me as much as the first two games did. So for now, it's definitely not at the top of my wishlist.

I haven't played the second game yet. I recently got it for $10 on PS Plus. Maybe by the time I finish it Dead Space 3 will be cheap on PS Plus too.

Dead space - 10-11 hrs

These are my times.

So if Dead Space 3 is twice as long then the game will be around 20-24hrs. I very doubt this tho.

I hope they aren't spinning it to mean its twice as long between seeing what would happen when playing co-op and what would change playing solo.

It's good the game increased in length but I'm kind of doubting the direction they took it. The demo didn't make me jump once... That says something. The Dead space games were the only games that gave me that. Hopefully the game is better than what the demo presented.
