DSOGaming writes: "Man, you gotta love the Internet. A temporarily server outage and everyone thought that CoH was being shut down. Ironically, there is also a rumor about Relic going down. Well, reality seems to be far more ‘brighter’ than most of you may think after reading all of this as Relic is not closing down, Company of Heroes 2 is still on track (aka not cancelled) and Company of Heroes’ servers are back online."
GamesIndustry.biz writes: "Relic is best known for the Company of Heroes and Dawn of War games, and recently developed the new Age of Empires for Microsoft. Relic will transition to an independent studio and will no-longer be part of the Sega group of studios.
The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."
Relic Entertainment announced layoffs affecting 121 employees. The company recently released Company of Heroes 3. It is a subsidiary of Sega.
Damn ... Company of Heroes 1 is one of my favorite, if not my fav, RTS of all time ...
The Humble Company of Heroes Complete Bundle just launched. It includes Company of Heroes, Company of Heroes 2, Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor, and more.
Yeh you better stay open or PC Gamers would riot in the streets.
EA, Sega, Ubisfot, Warner Bros.
Wow what a crap list of Evil Publishers to choose who gets Relic
actually I would go with Ubisoft cause Ubisofts PC Exclusive side is pretty good with Anno series, Tracmania 2 series, Might & Magic series etc.
