Regards "Why Godfree is selling his PS Vita" I would wait for E3 before making the decision. Some big games are coming out this year (Killzone to name one example). You don't wan't to sell it then regret it when those dates are fully confirmed and if the PS4 is announce I predict increased functionality with it. I am expecting a lull in information between now and E3 because I see Gaikai being a huge thing for the Vita at E3

Godfree is probably one of those spaz impulsers that buys>sells>buys a gaming machine like three or more times each gen. Just sit on it and see what develops, or you'll regret getting rid of it. Especially with stuff like Soul Sacrifice on the horizon. Sony haven't announced much for the Vita in 2013 and this is the year that they have to make it shine. Only a fool would think that the calendar year will be bare.

If by this time next year, there still isn't anything on the Vita horizon that piques your interest, sure go ahead and get rid of it. For me, I have a feeling that this is going to be the same JRPG powerhouse that the PSP was, and that's all that I need it to be.

God Eater 2, Soul Sacrifice, and about a dozen more JRPGs are in the pipeline and just waiting to be localized. Those are just the ones that we know about too.

I see that unlikely,there will def be a good amount of coverage focused on the next playstation but i don't think they'll leave the Vita out cold with the current state it's in.At this point i think sony realizes that they need to take action with the Vita like nintendo did with the 3ds.

Killzone Mercenary looks just like console Killzone. Amazing. Even more so by the fact that the Vita can produce console quality graphics. Even 360 cant do Killzone graphics.

I'm not quite sure I understand this whole mentality. The Vita has TONS of games. Hell, I have a full screen and a half filled of games on my Vita, and some being the best games I've played in a while (Gravity Rush, Persona 4 Golden, PSAS, LBPVita, Retro City Rampage, etc).

For example, the games I own on my Vita at least triple the games I own for 3DS. Yet I'm not running around yelping about how the 3DS is dying. It's just that I'm not interested in replaying games I've played since the NES/Gameboy days (although the new Pokemon game looks fantastic).

but at this rate, devs are likely to flock much faster on the 3DS.. So it wouldn't be hard to comprehend people jumpshipping (or consider first to buy) to a more "stable" and cheaper system

I on the other hand will keep my Vita as I know that Killzone Mercenary will be a blast and offer the best ever multiplayer experience on any handheld device out there. It'll be great to go through a round or two at nights while resting on the couch at the same time after a hard day's work.

I've had a DS twice, sold it twice, and regretted it both times. Same with my PSP. Every other system I've gotten- save for my Atari- I still have.

I'm not too into selling off my games, either, though I've had to do so a few times. I'm pretty picky about the games I buy, so I feel comfortable not selling them afterwards. I try to be prudent with my purchases.

Look both Nintendo and Sony Handhelds are good hardware, but Nintendo is no longer the leader in hardware and software . they sell what 19 million in what 10 months? by the end of it all they sell what 100 million? after 7 to 10 year's. That's great fantastic number's, but Sony sell's xperia smartphone's 8.8 million a sales Quarter! add in samsung, Apple, HTC. ETC. Do you really think the PSVita is the #1 mobile platform that Sony is mainly targeting?

PSVita is made to show a presence in the dedicated mobile market for handhelds as a choice other than only Nintendo! that means there is Only two main one's right? Wrong, now you have Apple, and Samsung, HTC, Microsoft Phone. the developer's for 3RD party are making their game engines run direct on smart devices, Sony is selling once again 8.8 million xperia smartphones a sales Quarter, do you really think the PSVita is the priority platform? No it's playstation as a whole, "Playstation" platform as a unified platform. it's not just about the PSVita by it'self. all alone as the only Playstation game software on mobile devices. why do you think Sony created the playstation suite or Playstation Mobile Day n date with the release of the PSVita? when it was NGP. Nvidia has a new Handheld kaz was not shocked about it, why do you think that is?

Its no longer just about dedicated handhelds anymore, Sony knows this. Nintendo on the other hand has not opened up their poratible platform to 3rd party. both Microsoft and Sony both have. do you once again think Sony does not see where the market is heading? Have to go all in? what's all in? a unified "mobile playstation platform" is not somehow all in?

Look unlike Nintendo; PSVita supports Mobile platform of Playstation Mobile. this is not a freaking sprint there is a platform unified for development. that developer's can make a cross platform game that works on SmartPhones, Tablets and the PSVita has also.

Sony looks at the Mobile market as you would look at the Mobile market as a whole. Nintendo's grip on the Mobile market is no longer the leader because if you are going to Bring in smartphones, and tablets as a negative to the PSVita its also a Negative for Nintendo. If Nintendo is the bench mark as the leader for game handhelds for the most sold hardware, and Software as the viability of your platform, than just like the dedicated PDA market the Smartphone took that market also. Nintendo is a great platform for gaming, but they are no longer the leader. smartphone's are the leader in handheld gaming not only in physical hardware sales, but also in software sales.

techmo and sega seem to be the biggest vita supporters outside of Sony themselves. But this year will be slightly different; i expect something new from atlus, xseed and many more. The Ys series is set to make its vita debut sometime this year in the same fashion persona4 and ffx have and will.

Vita is set to get a handful of rpgs this year.

Bend studio is also working on a new game and i am sure Sony will look forward to porting some of their biggest psn titlles to the platform.

Journey, dot heroes and a slew others.

Honestly i really dont see what the issue is; if Sony wanted to they could easily go and start porting those HD classics to the platform and even bring some ps2 hits like rogue galaxy,dark cloud,wild arms, arc the lad and so forth. but they are trying to get creative with the platform and that takes time and as a result they either get rewarded or in this case pay the price.

Everyone said the same thing about the ps3 and look where it is now. The vita has a lot of games. I already own 13 in less than a year. That's pretty impressive.
