C'mon, Level-5. Localize Ni no Kuni DS already

Destructoid: "I demoed Wrath of the White Witch at E3 and came away quite tickled. Jim Sterling certainly had a ball based on our official review. And Dale North ... well ... he's Dale North. After years of waiting, we should all feel happy and blessed that we are about to get our mitts on such a treasure.

But I'm not happy, guys.

Ni no Kuni PS3 may have made the journey overseas, but the DS original remains grounded in Japan. And there is zero reason for that. None."

If they did, I hope they just port it with some new content to the 3DS and Vita. I know it's a very slim chance of it happening, but man, the things I would do to play this on the go. Will be considered unspeakable.

For anyone that is buying the PS3 version, I advise getting/using a headset (Sony Pulse or Elite to name a couple), to get the full audio quality and to really feel apart of the story. Unless you have a great sound system and no one that will be bother by it, then use that.

the PS3 version is surperior in every way, what's the problem

contradictory4105d ago

people just like crying over this stuff.
because "Boo Hoo it's so unfaiiir"

but when it comes down to jrpg's staying in japan
then yeah... that's lame.

The DS is not a PS3 and DS owners would like to be able to play the game. It's already on the DS but only in Japan, that's the problem.

The PS3 is not even the same version as the 3DS, they were developed separately and each has their unique features

No one was really interested in the 3DS version until recently.
Anyway who knows, they might localise it if the PS3 version is a success sales wise.

I was always looking forward to the DS version since about 2010 until I got wind of the PS3 version. I'm sure many other western JRPG fans were too.

A handheld version would be nice but I'm more than happy to stick with PS3

Ah DS version my mistake. Yeah I'm sure there are a few people like yourself that wanted the game on the DS but there never seemed to be any articles about it or operation rainfall type appeals for the game. Maybe now the PS3 version is out people think it looks quite good and are a lot more interested.

If it was released for the Vita or 3DS I would probably just stick to my PS3 version too unless they released them with extra content or a side story or something.

Isn't that Nintendo's decision though? Nintendo has a lot of games for Wii/DS that are Japan only. Frustrating.

Lavalamp4105d ago

Nope, it'd be up to Level-5 and Namco Bandai.

A cross buy version for the Vita/PS3 would be the ultimate version.
