VGS: 'A good plot twist is always an effective way to keep the player interested in the story. When something happens that you didn't predict at all - but still makes sense in retrospect - it's always a memorable part of the experience. Here are three plot twists from games released in 2012 that stuck with me.'
From Xfire: "Steam users and the larger PC gaming community are lashing out at Capcom over a streak of sneaky DRM updates as the Japanese gaming giant continues to flirt with controversy"
Do they want more of their games to be torrented? Seems like it, I don't mind 🤣 Just ripped them a new asshole on Twitter, as I do not care what I say or post on there LOL.
This is classic Capcom. They everything they go on a hot streak and win back some consumer good will they have to turn around and burn it to the ground and have to start the whole process again.
Additional DRM just pushes people to pirate more. These ignorant executives just don't get it. Only the legitimate customer is affected by DRM. 😕
Non-playable characters in certain games are meme material, thanks to their foolish behavior. These are the big-budget games with the dumbest NPCs.
Bethesda makes the most consistently stupid NPCs, like really bad... yet I still can't help but love playing their games. Guilty pleasure, I guess. *sigh* 😩
Every Bethesda game and Every Halo game. This list needed to have Cyberpunk somewhere.
Here are the most peaceful areas in games that are otherwise quite violent, offering players respite from chaos in the game world.
My first thought was the safe rooms in the resident evil series. When you hear that enchanting music you know you’re safe.
Afterlife in Cyberpunk 2077 is a peaceful area? Erm, hands down and very hard to miss, Misty Olszewski's Esoterica is the absolute epitome of peaceful areas in that game.
The "last of us" deer location i found to be a welcoming respite. It was nice to not have someone trying to eat me.
Plot twists articles always remind me of inFamous 1's ending. I don't know anyone that say that one coming.
I think the ending will have a bigger effect on you if you've actually played the game all the way through because you develop a bond with the character "Cole McGrath" rather than just watching the ending on youtube.
why spoil that there's a plot twist at all? kind of defeats the purpose.
Just started binary domain but up til now lords of shadow had the biggest shock to me with what happen after the credits
I loved the RE Revelations one. I found it to be a quite brilliant twist. When I came to that part, I just thought "Oh Capcom, you evil bastards, you". :P
@ Axecution: Yeah well, I know what you mean, but knowing there is 'a plot twist' doesn't give too much away. You can see which games it is about by the tags.
