Playing the Dead Space 3 demo feels more like a showcase for the new things being introduced into the franchise. Which you could argue is the point of a demo. The short demo sadly left a weird taste in my mouth. It seems that the core the Dead Space franchise is gone, and now we have a considerably more streamlined experience.
If EA and Motive Studio plan on remaking all the main Dead Space entries, they have to change a lot of what made Dead Space 3 so divisive.
Simple, do not bother with a Dead Space 3 remake. Rather have a new entry for Dead Space.
Remaking 3 would need to be a reworked and somewhat changed remake as 3 was flawed in most peoples eyes and the worst entry.
WTMG's Kyle Nicol:
"Was Dead Space 3 really that bad?
Well, it’s a complicated question. Dead Space 3 is undeniably the weakest of the trilogy. It’s a game that deviates so far from the original formula, that it throws a lot of what made Dead Space special in the first place out of the window. Although, where it does make up for it is one of the best cooperative shooters on the market, even after all this time. Do I recommend playing this game ten years later? Hell yes. But make sure your expectations are in the right place. It has a lot of problems that bring it down."
With the upcoming Dead Space Remake, we replay and rank the original three games.

They need to seriously continue this ip with a new entry. Even if it's just another movie I don't care I love everything about this game.
I miss the credit system, the threat of necromorphs, necromorphs actually being "necromorphs", the fact that i cant hold 4 guns anymore, the tense atmosphere, Isaac being afraid instead of celebrating and whatnot with the other guy, and I miss Isaac not talking as much or at all.
I think the demo was quite good I think there was a good amount of jump scares and action. The coop is fun I must of spent around two hours in the workbench room trying out new combinations which is very fun and passes the time for the release, And the reason Isaac never talked so much was because it's only a twenty minute demo.
This has me a little worried. I've no intention of playing co-op and it sounds like the level design is all geared towards this kind of game. Seriously considering canceling my pre-order and waiting till it hits the bargain bin. Such a shame as I really liked the first two.
Dead Space ended with Dead Space 2.
