DmC: Devil May Cry - Vergil Boss Fight Guide

Vergil is very quick, but he will become vulnerable when attacking. Use Angel Evade to dodge incoming attacks. Hit him with your sword whenever you have a chance. Using Osiris Shredder will break his defense and he will immediately start an attack. His most dangerous move is the blade throw. You can either counter a blade to throw it back at him or jump in the air and use the glide ability. At the end of the fight you should make use of your shotgun. Jump around, use Angel Evade and attack when he is charging up an attack. Before you can land the final hit you have to activate Devil Trigger to get rid of his clone.

Spoiled for who? It's been clear for months everyone on n4g don't give a shit about this game. Oh and blame the mods and approvals for it.

HarryKawkReturns4107d ago

That's funny, because ever since the reviews started coming out of the gate, people that actually WANT to play the game have been more vocal than ever. You dont care for the game, don't click on the article. I for one am annoyed this was posted and so blunt without a spoiler alert. Use your damn brain if you have one.

listenkids4105d ago

If you used your brain you'd understand my post, I've played and finished, thoroughly enjoyed myself. The main point here is mods saw fit to let this slide by, the person who submitted it isnt wholly to blame.

As for my comment about the cretins of n4g, go look at 99% of the other articles, I'm bored of defending this game.

? Woah, Vergil is in the game. Did not know that (didn't want to know that).

Ranking the Devil May Cry Series

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."

First to last for me...3,4,5,1,2.

Me leaving it out should be telling of my thoughts on it. Better than 2 as a DMC game.

Still a good game though.

Friendlygamer4h ago

3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

2.
Dmc.
4.
5.
1.
3.

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best

1 and DmC. The rest are unimportant.

Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...

5, 3, 1, 4, 2.

I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.

But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me

Huzaifah from eXputer: "Devil May Cry 5, the latest iteration in the iconic DMC franchise by Capcom, still holds its own as a fantastic hack-and-slash in 2024."
