For me it's mainly better Pokemon designs and a better multiplayer experience, maybe ranked double battle matches with strangers as allies and enemies or just a huge selection of multiplayer playlists would be nice.

I want a faster way to transfer Pokemon from B/W. That's all I want. As the article says, it's annoying as fuck transferring my 300+ Pokemon from generation to generation. I can't simply restart my collection, because it goes back to the days of Ruby/Saphire. I caught them all legit(excluding a few legendaries that I was lazy and missed the events for, like Genesect. I hope they do another one for him) and I expect an easy way to throw them all into my X/Y PC box.

Add some new types (I know they won't). There's been no new ones since Gold and Silver.

I like the 8-bit noises. They're nostalgic and for me are part of the joy of discovering new Pokemans. I'd rather that than some PERSON gibbering, squealing and howling (etc.) at me everytime I get in a fight. I don't know, maybe it could work, just seems like it could get irritating.

Another thing they won't add: Let me journey back to at least ONE of the previous regions after I've finished the game. I don't mind which one. Gold and Silver will always be my favourites partly because of that (lots of other reasons too). It was such a surprise and so exciting.

I agree with the point about making it easier to transfer your old Pokemon.

But overall this is a bad list. None of these things will really move the series forward. And just to point out, the TV show is non-canonical in relation to the games as far as I've known, so it doesn't makes sense to want pokemon to say their names instead of their more animalistic cries from the games. I would, however, like to see Game Freak update the sound quality of these cries now though.

Making Pokémon 3D Was A Mistake

Pokémon’s shift to 3D was a big mistake, as the series’ roots in 2D design make it difficult to transfer important game mechanics into a 3D overworld.

why do other games pull off 3D monster collecting JRPG games just fine? Look at Jade Cocoon and Shin Megami Tensei for examples.

Answer should be obvious.

No other videogame franchise is as merchandise driven as Pokémon

Nintendo 3DS Games We Still Love Playing Even Today

BLG writes: "While it didn’t sell as well as the Nintendo DS, the Nintendo 3DS was nonetheless a wonderful system. And, while this may be a hot take, it’s easily my favorite handheld. Even more than a decade removed from launch, the system’s library has so many titles that feel as fresh today as they did back at release. While it was hard to narrow down, these 30 Nintendo 3DS games are emblematic of the system’s success."

When Will The Pokemon Company Introduce a New Typing?

The Pokemon Company has a solid thing going right now. Well, it’s been going on for a while, actually, but it has been a while since a new typing has been introduced to the popular monster-taming series. The latest one, Fairy type, was introduced back in Generation VI (Pokemon X & Y), so it does seem like it is time to bring in a new one. Check out Jason Capp's article for more.
