Final Fantasy All the Bravest, a “a touch-action RPG in which you continuously battle enemies to advance through the game’s many stages”, is out right now for the iOS.

Here’s the launch trailer in both English and Japanese.

*throws up a little* Sorry... If they're going to do crap like this for phones, at LEAST port them to the 3DS and Vita stores for handhelds...

Mister4284115d ago

I hear ya! There's no reason this couldn't have gone on the Vita.

As for the 3DS, it might take a little work, but its still doable, and they could put it on the e-shop.

Buff10444115d ago

Here's the reason, the Vita is selling poorly, and iOS devices sell quite well.

bicfitness4115d ago

To be fair Buff1044, iOS devices are losing marketshare. The Galaxy S III went over 100 million units in like what? Six months? (Pulling that number out of the ether, but it was something like that.) That's absurd. Expect the same thing to happen in the tablet marketplace. Fortunes, and favoured platforms seem to be shifting.

I'm still waiting on Lord of Apocalypse in English on the Vita. You know, a game SE actually made for the device but simply chose not to release in the West. I'm not holding my breath on that though.

Reibooi4115d ago

I agree 100% I think this game looks awesome but I'm not gonna buy a Ipad or Itouch for it. I'm pretty much done with Apple after how terrible they treated me when I called for support a year or so ago. I mean honestly it's retarded for SE to not have this on other platforms. It's a simple 2D game porting it can not possible cost that much time or money and yet would make plenty really happy.

If this was on the 3DS e-shop I would buy it in a heartbeat. As it stands though I guess I won't be playing it.

bicfitness4115d ago

Wow, they just keep whoring out those same God-damned sprites from the early 90s.

Talk about a creatively bankrupt company.

Snookies124115d ago

I'm more worried about them whoring themselves out for mobile phones. It's like they don't care about the gamer market anymore and just decided to focus on casuals. They really need to get their priorities in order.

Buff10444115d ago

Maybe you guys should buy more traditional handhelds, and then maybe publishers will pay more attention. This isn't a company decision because mobile devices are so much cooler. They go where the audience is.

Godmars2904115d ago (Edited 4115d ago )

You just now figured that out?

With FFX merchandising became as important as the game, and by FF13 merchandising became more important than the game. The game's only a vehicle, advertising, to sell stuff.

@Buff1044:
But there's nothing behind them besides exploitation of nostalgia.

bicfitness4115d ago

Buff, you misunderstand. Godmars seems to get it.

Exploitation of nostalgia and regurgitated sprites. SE can put that crap on any platform and I still won't pay for it.

Buff10444115d ago

Some of us old timers like these sprites.

bicfitness4115d ago (Edited 4115d ago )

That is what emulators are for.

I am an old timer myself (mid 30s), but this has no appeal to me. Ask yourself how much thought or cash actually went into the development of this game.

Eamon4115d ago

I have to agree. We've grown over sprites now.

This is just taking the mick. Where's FFvs13?

zgoldenlionz4115d ago

All those characters to control makes me wonder how the gameplay will feel.

-Gespenst-4115d ago

So what is this? Sort of like a retro FF mmo? Are all those characters like individual players taking turns or something? Sort of like Curiosity but an rpg?

Meh, doesn't look like it'd be for me.

Top 10: Worst Final Fantasy Games

Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: "The Final Fantasy series is one of gaming’s most revered franchises with many of its games finding themselves near the top of ‘best games of all time’ lists and simply uttering the words ‘Final Fantasy’ usually evokes images of epic quests and world class polish. But not all of the games to bear the name have been worthy of praise. Some, in fact are terrible, unplayable, ugly and obnoxious games that make you wonder how Square Enix ever approved them. So for this week’s Top 10 we’re scraping the bottom of the barrel and counting down the Top 10 Worst Final Fantasy Games."

Addition of FFXIII Lightning Returns and Crystal Bearers make your list redundant.

Though I appreciate the lack of FFX-2.

And I agree with the rest.

DedicatedDark2536d ago

Wait on further thought, the inclusion FFVIII would be nice. Terrible writing, terrible story, terrible gameplay and terrible translation. And therefore a terrible game.

Any Final Fantasy made my SquareEnix. Quick and easy.

SinkingSage2536d ago (Edited 2536d ago )

Since when is After Years or Lightning Returns bad?
This article is garbage, the absolute worst FF, Final Fantasy XIII is nowhere to be seen.

Also, why include a game that doesn't even exist anymore? FFXIV 1.0 is long gone...

overrated442535d ago

Lightning avatar and mad about Lightning Returns being on the list!? https://www.youtube.com/wat...

SinkingSage2534d ago

Heh, yeah, how is LR on the list but not XIII? XIII is pretty bad.

The Best And The Worst Final Fantasy Spin-Offs

Game Informer:

Big franchises often take advantage of their fame and appeal with a variety of spin-offs. The RPG juggernaut Final Fantasy is no different and throughout the years it has experimented with many different flavors. Some worked out much better than we ever expected; others were complete disasters. One thing is certain: Final Fantasy spin-offs aren’t going away.

Square Enix just launched Final Fantasy Explorers this week in North America and World of Final Fantasy is currently in development. But we didn’t want a list that just discussed ‘respectable’ games like Crisis Core or Revenant Wings or select average titles like Final Fantasy: Chocobo’s Dungeon and Final Fantasy Dimensions. What good does that do? We wanted to zoom in on the best creations, while also looking at the games that went horribly wrong.
