Why Nintendo does it better than Sony and Microsoft

This dance isn’t new to Nintendo and here are some reasons as to why Nintendo moves at their own pace and can quite possibly come out on top this Next-Gen.

Of course I had to open up the article again to read that comment. I'm not going to disagree with him regarding the PS1 and PS2. They had hundreds of great games. Still, that doesn't make Nintendo less good in any way. Nintendo is still leading the charge with innovation, as much as some people like to deny it. Or maybe they just wish Nintendo stopped innovating at the analog stick, rumble pak, and wireless controller. People seem to forget, including the author of this article, that Nintendo was first in making a first party wireless controller, the Wavebird for the GameCube. It also helps that their games are consistantly good. No one ever says "oh that last Zelda game sucked", at least not seriously. They have franchises over 25 years old that have yet to have a bad game. That's an amazing pedigree.

omg the wavebird, that was a great controller cant believe i forgot about that beauty. But yea nintendo is all about innovation, even skyward sword event though they took away the over world. they made it so just getting to the main dungeon was like a mini dungeon in each area which i loved and changed drastically during the story. And also improving on zelda and links relationship (been doing it more so with toon link & toon zelda) and you could fly! i really do hope they add what the did from skyward to the new zelda, while adding something completely new

You know how controllers virbrate when you get hit, shoot a gun, crash a car, or whatever? The rumble pak plugged into the Nintendo 64 controller and was the first to do that.

I did read the article. I completely disagree with all of it. Sony absolutely obliterates Nintendo's first-party IP's.

They really don't do anything better than the other two, and they are worse is a lot of areas like region restrictions, indie support, adapting to new standards in gaming, online network, listening to the consumers, and taking a chance on new IPs.

Given that with their supposed new focus some these may get better as the WiiU evolves, but I doubt Nintendo will ever out class Microsoft or Sony in any of these.

Like I said below, I Named 7 IPs that I really like from Gamecube and Wii. Nintendo has more IPS that are quality, and diverse. Halo, Fable, Gears of War, Microsoft has beaten the horse to death by rehashing the same game IPs. Over and Over. At least with a Zelda game it is different every Time, Nintendo has a great way of taking a Mario Platformer and reinventing it, such as Mario Galaxy. Not just a rehash. Also offering new ways to play. If you have not I would Highly recommend you playing BOPS2 online with a friend over on Wii U, that would show you the online is much better than in the past. I already know you are going to be all up in arms over my comment, but that is okay. We are going to just disagree with each other. I did state also I really like Sony's IPS which I think are great. I just like more on Nintendo, but Sony is really a close second.

The IP's listed are great, But I would like to add a few.
1.Eternal Darkness 2. Baton Kaitos 3.Geist, 4. Disaster:Day of Crisis. 5. Sin and Punishment, 6. Pandora's Tower, 7. The Last Story...those are some great games as well. Really Sony is my second pick for IP's, but they have some great ones for sure,and lastly Microsoft.

I don't think anyone anywhere could touch the extreme quality of their first party software. They really care about their product and to me it shows one hundred per cent. When I fire up a Nintendo game there's a fun super sweet feeling I get that literally makes me smile. No other software developer makes me feel that way. Like when Mario is getting ready to tee off under a bright blue sky or when King Boo comes in last place in the race. It's so intangible but so utterly there. No one could possibly recreate that.
Nintendo could make a million more mistakes but they still come out on top because their hardware is indestructable and their software is number one.
