Why Skyrim PS Vita Release Will Never Happen

While PlayStation 3 gamers are still waiting for all three DLCs for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim there has still been no movement as far as when or if any will become available, giving us cause to feel that Bethesda’s popular title has had problems with this platform since the game was released. This brings up the question whether we will ever see a PS Vita version in the future or would this be too hard to reproduce on the handheld.

Why should we even get a Skyrim on Vita, we should actually try to avoid Console games on Vita, it is just stupid.
Let us have handheld games for handheld consoles and the general video games on home consoles.

Who ever even considered Skyrim coming to Vita? These articles are so desparate. "Will we ever see God of War on XBox?", "Doesn't look like Sony will see a Mario game on their system this gen". I know Skyrim is multiplat but if anyone had any hopes of Skyrim coming to Vita it must have been someone with no clue of hardware requirements and limitations or some website just writing pointless articles to capture hits.

Apparently the disagrees are from people that don't know that the PS3 has 512MB of ram split into XDR and GDDR3 RAM. I guess it's link time for facts but we all know how many people don't like facts.

Sooo... I love my Vita; I guess you can say I'm anything BUT an xbox fanboy (I mean, I really dislike the console) HOWEVER

The 360 has more ram than the PS3.
The PS3 has 256.
The Vita has more ram than a PS3.

Not to throw a stick in your wheel but the:

PS3 has the same amount of RAM as the 360 but the PS3 RAM is split, not unified...

PS3: 256 XDRam+256 Ram
360: 512 Ram

The Vita has more RAM than both PS3 and 360...

Vita: 512Ram + 128 Vram

The Vita is also better at multitasking than both consoles as well, but can't play as many media formats compared to the PS3...

vita has no cell. i think just 3 cores like the 360. if im right,, which im not saying i am cause im no tech dork. should be easier to develope shouldnt it. if im wrong im sure someone will let me know huh

I would like to see skyrim on next gen consoles with some of the mods or even a choice of mod and surely it would be that hard to do, after all alot of new gen games are ports from the original console

Not really expecting a Skyrim Vita but maybe an exclusive may be Travels series or an enhanced port of Morrowind.

I would buy a vita if it had an enhanced version of morrowind even if they just put a proper mapping system in it, i loved skyrim and oblivion but could get into morrowind i got seriously lost wandering around in the wilderness just after the starting town and it put me off a bit

i would love a hand held version, then again Nvidia's Shield 2 (or whatever its called, hopefully it will support 4G) might do the job.

they need to support the modding community more. like helping us figure out stuff about the engine that we are having problems with

Not only did the ps3 version have bugs but xbox version as well so lets clarify that up front.

Secondly i didnt buy it on ps3, so wouldnt buy it on vita. I dont give free passes to incompetent devs that have had years to master systems but make buggy games on both (some worse than others)

Open worlds with lots to do and characters living out daily routines are more prone to bugs than something that hold your hand though the game, I think there have been too many go here do this do that games this gen

From what i gather Skyrims world was very empty but im just going by what ppl complained about. I find that true of most open world games thats why i dont like them much. That and redundancy due to repetitious missions and submissions.

I hope next gen systems improve on that aspect and add more characters and enemies in open world games and increase the scope of things with more to do.

Infamous 2 is an open world game that does things well with minimal bugs and problems.

yea lots to do alright more like a lot of run arounds with a few epic quests in between like the daedric and guild quests other than that the game is a very bland. cities dont feel like cities and between there arent even small villages just the few farm houses.

I would love a fallout game on the vita. Make it happen Bethesda!!!! For Elder Scrolls I know there was a psp game in the works but unfortunately it got canned so maybe they'll do one for vita

@ specsmaster every character in skyrim would go about there daily tasks(they go to work chat to one another etc) and if they came into contact with one another responded, for instance if you got jump by bandits, and it was seen by a guard they would try and help, and their are many ways to play the game too.

And alot of it is very well written in places i liked the thieves guild stuff, trying to break into places without being seen, and the daedra stuff good too

But business wise it makes no sense, the userbase is too small. It's selling worse than the Dreamcast.

Who wanted a Vita version of SKyrim? That would be a massive waste of development time, just to port a game everyone has already played to death.

A updated version Vita version of Morrowind is what I was hoping for.

My care level for an unannounced, unofficial, only highly speculated by random people vita game is very low. I couldn't care less about speculation. May as well say why assassins creed 3 isn't going to be on the 3ds. It's just dumb they could have made an article about a game that has been announced and cancelled or up in the air but this is just another waste article.
That said a game of that scale would be nice. When GTA gets announced then make a article about it.

Ram issue for skyrim dlc on ps3 is a lie, it's all just a cover up for why they won't bring it to the ps3. it's because Microsoft bought it out to be exclusive for the xbox 360.
