DmC Devil May Cry Review | Rev3Games

Adam Sessler writes:

"Dante is back with a new look and a new developer in 2013's DMC. But does the fast-paced combo-based combat live up to the series pedigree, or does the reboot fall flat?"

That score is more like it. This must be one of those "fake reviews" NT was talking about. This score seems right to me.

Snookies12 the game on normal for me was pretty easy, but that's why the game has like 6 different difficulty levels. I'm now going back playing on hard with all my power up from normal and the game is a pretty good challenge (enemy types are different on hard). And I wish everyone would shut up and just play the damn game THEN judge. The combat is solid and very fun. The only game that comes to mind with better combat is Bayonetta, but hell that game is damn near perfect in that regard. Just try it then judge, if you like this type of action games I cant see how it would disappoint.

EDIT @cochise_313

God some of you are ignorant. Im a BIG DMC fan and I LOVE the game. Stop acting like what YOU think is FACT.

EDIT 2 @ "I, just like other gamers, have a higher standard in gaming."

LOL An "elitist gamer" And what makes you think Im not buying Last of Us or Bioshock Infinite and going to enjoy them also? Like I said, people like you are scum of gaming. To damn narrow minded. "Oh he liked the new DMC he'll hate Last Of Us" Man GTFO with that BS. Believe it or not there are gamers that can enjoy all types of games

I, just like other gamers, have a higher standard in gaming. I'd rather spend my hard earned cash on Last of us, Ni No Kuni, and Bioshock infinite. Sessler has nailed this review spot on.

I have to disagree slightly, I am glad you enjoyed your purchase. Never fun to waste $60. So again, glad you like it.

However, there are allot of reviews that say the story sucked, and the bosses were horrible but still give it a 9/10. To me those problems seem like more then 1 point off... I have to agree with Adam here, his seemed like one of the more fair reviews to the game that I have read.

This is a good review. I always like Sessler and it seems to me they are going for a younger crowd with this one. I'm sure those who played the originals are older now so this reboot might not be up their alley.

It's always nice to compare a bunch of reviews and get a better idea.

I think they were aiming at some of the sites that were not given review codes, yet somehow were able to write an early review. That's not an entirely new phenomena among smaller sites. Apparently the preview code was half the game so that's what you get, I guess.

Very good review. Very thorough. I found the slight delay when pressing the trigger buttons to be one of the more annoying aspects as well, but it didn't take that long to get used to. Other than that I thought it was one hell of a great game. I also disagree on the story, which I honestly haven't thought this much of since the first DMC.
