Gamasutra writes: The Walking Dead is kind of a big deal for the game industry. It is the culmination of years of work by Telltale Games to finally nail episodic content with a hit game and create a brand new twist on the adventure genre. Numerous blogs, magazines, award shows and individuals consider this game to be their Game of the Year for 2012.
But I hate it.
Let me stop here and say that I completely respect this game and Telltale. There is no doubt this is a pivotal game for the industry. I understand why people love it, and I think they should love it. However, this game is just not for me.

Before the announcement that a heavily narrative focussed Walking Dead video game was announced in 2012, Telltale games was a development studio that not particularly well known. Despite putting out other similar properties with Back to the Future: The Game and Jurassic Park: The Game, the products were largely met with a very mixed and ultimately tepid response from the public. The rampant acclaim and runaway success reached with The Walking Dead launched the developer into one of the most anticipated and favourable studios out there with one revolutionary product.
I think the walking dead story telling is amazing. I really love the games and think that they bring the respect of gaming story telling up in the world of entertainment in general :)
A reflection on the business perspective of Telltale Games.
This is the second whiny article from gamasutra. First they moaned about Far Cry 3 now they're moaning about Walking Dead? Slow news day lads?
Trolling for hits by making negative articles about 2012's most popular games. Next article will be about Borderlands 2 or Journey lol.
The first telltale game i played was the back to the future game. Ill be honest if it wasnt for the fact that i loved the movies i wouldnt have finished the game. Having said that The walking dead was a much improved version of there formula, so while i can see people being frustrated playing it i was happy since i knew it was an improvement lol
Dumb article, The Walking Dead was def a great game!
"I play games for several reasons:
To feel good about myself
To feel smart
To develop mastery of a skill, mechanic or world"
This guy obviously plays games largely to help his self esteem. I could see someone playing for that reason hating a game as harsh as this.
