Sony has announced a movie, whos is going to be in the movie?

I find it too bad that Sony has never bothered to convert the Ratchet series into a film series... action, humour, fun story... its all there just waiting fr their animation studio to perform.

Should have done this back in the PS2 days, whith the PS2 being the beast it was, it could have helped to sell the movies by themselves

What better way to boost sales of these franchises that to get millions of kids to go see the movies, who will inevitably want the games.

It's a good way to sell games, and in the future sell Vitas, since parents seem to prefer buying handhelds over consoles for some reason.

Spawn a TV series after that.

Awesome. Heavenly Sword animated film? Hopefully to create buzz for number 2. Sony Santa Monica could do that game so much justice. Hopefully that is one of their un-announced projects.

I think that a movie featuring Sly, Jak and especially Ratchet in the one movie would be epic. Love it if it was a cinema release, as long as the producers didn't want it to be too 'child friendly', like a disney movie.

Ill enjoy these..especially the Heavenly Sword one that's almost finished. That was such a cinematic game with an awesome story and THE greatest female protagonist of this generation. Maybe it'll be a sequel.

Makes me wonder why they havn't made anything Playstation movie. We now hear of a possible Uncharted, God of War, Shadow of the cololsuss, and also are there a Bioshock movie in the works. I have yet to see an actual trailer for any of those movies, I just hope it's not like how the Resident Evil movies are which are Sony Picures if I'm corect!

In famous and killzone most definately! Bioshock would be good, so would god of war, shadow of colossos, god of war, gears of war, halo, uncharted all awesome.

But ratchet and frank is sooooo boring and i couldnt even get through the demo. Does anyone play that thing. Were the sales good? I honestly dont know.

I think it is one of the unecessary exclusives sony should cut. I think they should focus on killzone, uncharted, infamous, and god of war as reoccurring franchises every 2 years, maybe throw in a 3rd person killzone as well. Then put in unique experiences like heavy rain, beyond, heanenly sword. Heavenly sword would also make a good movie.

Ratchet and Frank sounds funny. I havn't played the games but what I've seen and by playing the demo of the first couple R&C game demos on the PS2 the games were fun, do not know why I havn't plunged into the series yet.

Third person Killzone game doesn't sound good at all! Killzone is my favorite PS exclusive FPS and I would like it to keep it that way.

Halo had a series or something already and Heavenly sword and Uncharted came out with a motion comic.

I can agree on Sony focussing on their big brands but they are right now and also bring out new stuff like Beyond: Two souls! :)

But a movie limits story to 2 hours and ruins everything. Those games are already great games as is, why turn them into movies where the same things go on, except crammed and cut into 2 hrs?

Infamous actually could work well. Killzone and Bioshock? no - remember those games had only small amounts of story compared to the main bulk of the hours - shooting, which they can't just show for hours in a movie (some do, but their movies flop).
God of War maybe. SotC? probably not; the interactivity made it the marvel it was. Halo? lol. Uncharted? It's already better than a movie; why worsen it?

Yeah Sony does make movies. I don't know if you know this but recently one of their smaller films (Skyfall, I don't think you would recognize it) became the 14th film in box office history to surpass the billion dollar mark. Not much of an accomplishment though.
