2012 Gamers' Choice Awards nominees announced

The nominees for the 2012 Gamers' Choice Awards have been revealed. The Gamers' Choice Awards gives gamers worldwide a chance to weigh in and decide what the best games are in seven different genre categories, six console-specific categories, what the most anticipated game of 2013 is, and which game takes home the coveted Game of the Year award.

indeed,and many of them for no reason but 'best of the worst'
tough year,tougher year ahead especially as the fervor over transition to next gen intensifies.
Only in 91 could SMB 2 be crowned 'GOTY',as FC3 in 2012.Not perhaps by this particular site but my faith in Gamespot is somewhat diminished....
On topic,I wanted,I tried to understand the hype surrounding both FC3 and Borderlands2 and yet I find myself returning to 'sigh'.......Dragons Dogma.
Hoping,rather praying 2013 is better.

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.
