Time And Eternity, Imageepoch’s HD Anime RPG’s English Name Probably Is…

Siliconera: "Imageepoch’s largest project was a HD anime RPG made for PlayStation 3. You may know it as Toki to Towa or by its translated name Time and Eternity. Either way, we’re talking about the same gorgeous looking game, which will be called Time and Eternity when it gets localized.

Namco Bandai spilled the beans when they filed a trademark for Time and Eternity in Europe."

*sigh* I had high hopes for this game, but apparently it's not all that great from what I've heard.

From what i have heard it was too ambitious for its own good. There were many ideas that for the most part do not fit together all that well, & the animation are a little clunky.

However there are a few good points about the game. The characters, music & battle system are actually quite well done. The development could have used maybe another year or two to fully make those ideas more fluidly gel together. If Imageepoch gets another chance to do a sequel than a more better game can be created.

If you are a fan of very niche JRPGs & are looking for something different, the game is enjoyable. If you are looking for something more deep than this may not be for you.

I'm still wondering what happened to Celius. The Evangelion newscaster program had the potential to give JRPG characterization a massive boost.

Could have really helped out a game like this.

I hope they manage to pack the OST in a limited edition. I've heard great things about it.

Well, Yuzo Koshiro, the composer behind Ys I & II, Shenmue, and the Etrian Odyssey series did the music, so I'd better be good.

Although I welcome this development, Bamco should localize the Tales of games they are porting to the Vita too. Not having them on the DS before was bad enough.

I have a feeling they're waiting to see what Xillia sales numbers are...either that or they already plan on porting it and just haven't announced it yet. There was an article the other day that said that the EU and US have more Vita's sold than Japan does, so there is no reason they would ignore the market. Especially since Graces was pretty well received on the PS3, and P4G was extremely well received on the VIta.
