WRC3 Review - Team VVV

"We’re therefore eagerly awaiting to see how WRC4 will evolve series if a release is on the cards for this time next year, but we can at least now forgive and forget Milestone’s initial false starts as WRC3 is hands-down the most definitive rally game since Richard Burns Rally made by rally enthusiasts for rally enthusiasts. Third time lucky, Milestone."

My biggest problem with the game is not really the cars or the physics but the tracks.
Honestly now I'm sure even the 9 times world and most definitely the greatest rally driver Sebastian Loeb would have a hard time going through the insanely and unbelievable ( literally ) tracks built by the developers of WRC3.
Even with all the option of tuning your fave-pick rally car, you are going to experience a very hard slog with all the extreme turns, yumps ( jumps ) on this game no doubt about it.

Not a bad review and its not a bad game but my biggest problem with the game is the track design way too many corners and not enough high speed areas. Way to may hairpins after hairpins

I would like to see Codemasters get the WRC licence. ( there is some talk they may just be doing that).

Ugh, I hope not. Dirt 3 looks pretty but is way too arcadey, and just look at that Showdown game...

IaussieGamer4123d ago

Don't include Showdown as one of their rally games that was a pure arcade sidestep. With a official licence I am sure Codemasters would put more effort into the physics like they have done with their F1 Series.

WRC is ok but the tracks are un realistic way to many hairpins and not enough fast sections. You turn more than you go straight.

Me too, I hope it don't go to code masters, I hate the over americanised arcadey dirt series, keep it real rallying!!!

WRC 3 vs Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo comparison at Monte Carlo

TeamVVV writes: "Hot on the heels of our WRC 5 vs Sebastien Loeb Rally EVO comparison we thought we'd now pit the nine-time world rally champion endorsed game up against WRC 3.

What's particularly interesting here is that both games were developed by the same team – Milestone. Of course Milestone have since lost the WRC license to Kylotonn Games but don't rule them out bidding for it back in the future."

Rallisport Challenge 1 & 2 from DICE (Battlefield 4)
most funny rally games

creeping judas3827d ago

The last great rally game was Colin McRae Rally 2005. Everything after that, went towards the arcade racer market. Now that being said, due to where I live I have never been able to play the WRC series.

Perjoss3827d ago

Richard Burns Rally is still considered the best rally game ever made by many hardcore rally game fans.

WRC 3 FIA World Rally Championship Review | Tech-Gaming

If Milestone could tune its car handling model and polish its visual output, the next version of WRC could help us forget that Codemasters has abandoned the world’s most mesmerizing motorsport.
