Just Add Water has announced that the HD version of Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee is available now via PlayStation Network for PS3 - the PS Vita is due to launch early next year. Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD features fully remodeled characters, high-resolution textures for crisper-looking environment detail, and new audio fit for PS3, DualShock 3-centric controls, unlockable art, and 46 Trophies - including a Platinum.
"Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD encapsulates a time in gaming when 3D puzzle platformers were still in their infancy yet its campaign is undeniably fun and full of variety. However, many facets of its adventure simply don't hold up well with today's standards in mind." - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums
Outside of a few error codes, the PS Vita port is serviceable. The main problems with Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee lies in the game itself.
Charlie Large reviews Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD for The Vita Lounge and finds that time has not been kind to this entry in the Oddworld series.
Sweet, but this isn't a cross buy game so I am going to wait for the Vita version. I have played this one many times on Xbox, but will get it for Vita. Picking up Stranger Vita this week too. Love gaming on the Vita. Even chose need for Speed Most Wanted Vita over the console version and I was not disappointed at all.
Played the demo last week and WOW it is bad
This game was really the first game to ever piss me off going exclusive for a console. I will be picking it up soon off PSN.
