Yes, you're not observant if you think it looks exactly the same. It immediately appeared different to me from the start. Mario's 3D model will always be the same, so not much difference there. However, the animation they've given the Super Mario Wonder makes it look more like a CGI Mario animation where as the New Mario Bros game looks more like typical video game animation movements

This Mario game looks great, getting a switch for this and Mario RPG. CANT WAIT, TITS JACKED.
Yeah I liked how much more emotion could be conveyed through the new style at first glance I didn't see much difference but then rewatching the trailer I'm seeing more and more animations that remind me of the Mario artwork from the manual of smb3
I hated the new super Mario bros Style. This new one seems a lot more expressive and less generic. I hope it's a good game
I prefer the 2d Mario's. Me and my girl have played them all together and mario galaxy , Mario odyssey. The 2nd player option is extremely eh
For a lot of people, Mario Kart Wii was their introduction to the franchise, and what a terrific introduction they had.

Divide that by the number of games and it is less than 2.5 million sales per game
@BlmThug Mario has or has been in over 200 games so do your math over and I doubt each mario game sold only 2.5 million ha lol especially when mario kart on the wii sold over 32 million and I'm sure there are a lot of other examples do yo research dumbass and of course mario will continue to sell a shitload
As much as i respect Mario Bros. & the impact in gaming that the series has in the industry. I wish Nintendo can at least retire the plumber briefly to work on new IPs.
Not saying stop making games for the series but slow down on the amount of games Mario appears in. Nintendo is too dependent on Mario that for me personally is hampering the development of new series, Ips, or other Nintendo franchises that also deserve some spotlight (F-Zero Hello!? Star Fox?!).
Anyways congrats on the accomplishment cause it is well deserved no matter what the 'haters' say.
