Vita games will be perfect because of the tiny little boxes, wrapped up someone would think its a bar of chocolate.

$40 - $60 is a stocking stuffer?! I buy games all the time, but that seems like a ridiculous amount for a stocking stuffer lol.

Myst4140d ago

This comment had me laughing for a bit yet, I could see those being a stocking stuffer and then a new console being something under the tree :p

KangarooSam4140d ago

I understand this as like a smaller present but if it's a stocking stuffer you may as well have a Wii U, Vita, Ps3 as smaller presents and a damn Lamborghini as your main one lol

rainslacker4140d ago

@Kangaroo

That sounds reasonable to me. I'm sure I can find a stocking big enough to hold all that stuff, and a place in the garage for a Lamborghini.

Myst4140d ago

LOL. I suppose that is the wish of most people :p at least us hardworking ones and the younger ones.

Oh dear, please don't buy your loved ones Skyrim for Christmas...

Buy them a good game instead.

Yeah a game that works would be nice.

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

anast19d ago

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22919d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Nittdarko19d ago

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave19d ago (Edited 19d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
