The best Xbox 360 games of 2013 that nobody's talking about

OXM - We've already run up a somewhat prematurely titled list of the best Xbox 360 games of 2013, together with a list of 2013's greatest mystery projects - but in the wake of both articles, I became aware of a strange and unholy disturbance in the Force.

lol yes, the titles are multi-platform, but really who cares. The bigger issue is that the reason no one is talking about these games is because about 1% of people have heard about them, and the rest of us just sortof said "meh" when we saw them at one point or another.

Let's hope the marketing budget on these games is going towards actual development so they actually turn out decent and get some good critical acclaim, that's the least this industry can do for games that don't splurge on marketing. Microsoft spent a billion dollars marketing Kinect, and Activision spends about 100 Million bucks each year marketing Call of Duty with it's overly long, extravagant commercials. If only that money went to making Call of Duty a better franchise, and Kinect games actually functional and worth playing...

People haven't heard of these games because some of them aren't out yet.

On the other hand, I can recall when X-Com was the number 1 board for gamefaqs for both PS3 and Xbox 360.

But you see n4g is not a xbox 360 exclusive website so is it our fault that we read the title inccorectly? Or are we suppose to know that the site is an xbox 360 exclusive website? Being such a seasoned contributor you should know that not everyone knows about xbox exclusive sites, also the website implies that they are games ONLY on the 360 in the title Im speaking about the average reader offcourse, you have to put in mind not everyone is a hardcore gamer that knows everything.

If it was on there website nobody would say anything but when it comes on n4g where all systems are discussed then theose systems should be on the tags.

Logic dictates that if there are multiplat games in the list than ps3 should be there or any other platform since n4g isnt an xbox 360 exclusive site.

Did the title read `xbox-exclusive game`or `xbox game`? Good God I guess they don't teach reading comprehension in school like they used to.

Skyrim for example is a multi-platform game. But it does not change the fact its an xbox game, a ps3 game, a pc game etc etc

The title itself makes it seem as if they are Xbox exclusive titles seeing as it only includes the console "Xbox 360". Also the tags are misleading because it only includes the Xbox 360 tag so you would expect an article focusing on Xbox 360 exclusive titles. It's just a very misinforming title and tags. Thats all =).

No 'Riderz1337' the title does not suggest that. The title suggests that it is talking about games playable on the Xbox 360.

As has been pointed out before... the website is discussing for it's readers the best games they can play on the Xbox 360 that might not be on everyone's radar.

The reason that the PS3, PC and other tags are NOT included is because they have nothing to do with the main focus of the article.

If people were to see those tags it would suggest they had an interest or governing part in the article. Which they don't.

Despite the lack of exclusive content it still looks like 2013 will tide 360 only owners over nicely until next gen.

And PS3 owners get a few treats too. I can't wait for e3 to see the future.

Then there's no need to use the word "Xbox 360" in the title of the article. Given it's an Xbox 360 site, it's already a given that the games they list will be on the Xbox.

As is, it's misleading.

I believe the ps3 and the 360 are in a state of decay as they are aging. I dont play my ps3 much but I was very impressed with what farcry 3 achieved being a open world game on the limited twins. I am ready for next gen but not because of lack of great games but its time to catch up with technology the best a console can do.

Yeah I mean the FPS XCOM that was announced a while back but then got delays and multiple development problems, I know Enemy unknown came out, seemed like a great game too, need to play the full thing (only played the demo on PC)

Can you list all the brilliant games coming in 2013 for WiiU or PC then please to back up your comment?

I won't get into PC since they always get a lot more games than consoles and it's not technically part of a generation. As for the Wii U well I'm from the UK so some games that are out in the US aren't out here yet such as Scribblenauts and Ninja Gaiden so over here there are those games. But if you're American then those games don't count. There is Pikmin 3, Bayonetta 2, Rayman Legends, Lego City Undercover and Aliens (I count the latter as the developers are bringing out the definitive version on Wii U, which the 360/PS3 aren't capable of) so far. Although you have to keep in mind no games beyond March have been announced and not a lot of games get announced for console until after the launch window.

No offense but to say the games coming out for 360/PS3 next year are terrible, which is pretty much what you were implying, you have to come up with a slightly better list than that to back up your point.

I have nothing against the WiiU - which seems to be your console of choice and I in fact agree with the point that we need new Xboxes and Playstations soon but the games you list are hardly blowing away the games coming out next year.

360/PS3 have Ni No Kuni, Tomb Raider, GTA5, The Last of Us, GOW:A GeOW:J, Dead Space 3, Crysis 3, Revengance, Bioshock Infinite, Battlefield 4, Beyond: Two Souls, Watchdogs, Blacklist, etc.

I don't really see how your WiiU list is any better than that.

Some of these games on the list might not even be coming out in the way that they are portrayed in the article.

The X-COM FPS game that they are talking about, they linked a dev video from 2011. Game was rumored to have gone through some major changes and we don't know how the game will end up.

Then Brothers in Arms Furious Four. Rumored to have been scrapped and if it has not been cancelled, then it probably has been retooled to go against all the negative press that it got.
