The Last of Us wraps ups the motion capture work for the game’s cinematics

The highly anticipated post-apocalyptic title, “The Last of Us,” is now one step closer to being finished as Neil Druckmann, Creative Director at Naughty Dog, tweeted today that they have wrapped after capturing the last of the game’s cinematics today. This is another milestone that the developers have behind them in order to complete one of next year’s most awaited games.

Coming from Naughty Dog, the developers of the “Uncharted” game franchise, “The Last of Us” places players inside a post-apocalyptic survival game that promises to feature action and deep characterization. The dramatic story told by the game focuses on a man and teenage girl as they try to survive inside a world destroyed by plague. The two can’t just stock up on supplies and wait out the end however, as they are put on a quest to travel across the remains of the former United States.

UC3 gave us a sign of TLOU in the bar setting, we might find a link to J&D4 in TLOU. Especially since the team that made TLOU was suppose to make Jak4.

Actually, I was thinking: since Ellie is carrying a bag, there could be a pin/button for you to collect 9like a sidequest) scattered all over the place. One pin/button could be Jak & Daxter related!

I'm also thinking some pins will have subtle skill effects!

After reading your comment, I went to read up on Naughty Dog. While I don't know how their previous games were, they have made some great games on the PlayStation. And some of the studios, that came about that are second party, have come from the great members of Naughty Dog. High Impact Games & Ready at Dawn are made up of members of Naughty Dogs, Insomniac Games, along with others from Blizzard.

If you think about it, Naughty Dog could of had 3/4 teams, under their name. But they moved on to other things. It's nice to know, as a company they have helped so many in this industry.

GIVE ME THIS GAME NOW! I hope you will be able to pre-order it on PSN so that I actually get the game the first day it comes out. I already have it pre-ordered but I always manage to get my pre-orders late and it's really annoying because it's hard to avoid spoilers on a game once it's been released.

I'm not sure if they will have a digital release of the game. I personally think the game might be a little too large for a digital release, but you never know. I just want to know one thing. Where do you pre-order your games? I've never had issues with pre-ordering games so I'm just wondering which store you have issues with.

I usually pre-order from Amazon. I think they always come late because the house I live in is a new area and the houses were very recently built (about a year ago). It's a brand new address so I guess that's why they get misplaced/come in late.

I just hope that TLoU is more game then Uncharted.
I mean more game and less quick time events.
Maybe this time ND will deliver more than (what they like to call) a whole new cinematic experience.

A game with to much scripted events like scripted jumping,enemy take downs,linear lelevel design with zero freedom to explore,and what not.
This isn't the way the games should be heading to and evolve in that direction.

Maybe I'm to old,and I don't see the graphics,because graphics it's all that's matters these days.
By today's standards a game with good graphics is automatically a good game.
Is this the future of gaming!?

That's like saying a combat RTS game needs to evolve into a FPS. Linear adventures have their place just like every other genre.
