I do agree. The Dawn of War Franchise pack is my first purchase this year. Amazon, GMG, GG, and other digital retailers have made these sales kinda...meh...so far.

Might get thq pack only $25 and comes with tons of great games like saints row 1-3, darksiders 1-2.

I just picked up Dishonored today. It seems like a pretty decent game, but are the graphics really this bad all the way through? It's a bit of a shock to go from Assassin's Creed III, Far Cry 3, and Hitman Absolution to what I'm seeing in Dishonored. I'm still in the beginning of the game, so I hope the rest looks better. I don't expect every game to look like Far Cry 3, but this looks like Bioshock on Low/Medium if that. What's up with the AA settings? MLAA or FXAA only? Sweet jebus... It must be a great game from all the accolades, but I was expecting a bit more from the visuals. Maybe a modder can put together a good texture pack or something.

Hitman Absolution has been pretty decent so far. I have not followed the Hitman series, so I am not sure how it compares to all the other ones. The characters are often rather hokey, but I love the stealth other than perhaps the overly simplistic tipping your hat and lowering your head with instinct mechanic. I read complaints that the maps are too small and linear, but I think they are still generally well designed and allow you to try multiple ways to pass through them. I'm going very heavy on the stealth and loving it.

I picked up the Darksiders franchise bundle for around $13 I think. I started with Darksiders 2. It seems decent enough, although I'm not into the gaudy art style. Maybe I'm in the minority about that. I'm not sure why I'm getting occasional cases of the stutters. Maybe an SLI issue? This should be running as smooth as silk on my PC.

I'm still on the lookout for The Walking Dead on the cheap. I've read that the storytelling is terrific, and it's won a ton of Game of the Year awards. I'm well aware that this one isn't a technical showcase, so that won't catch me off guard the way it did with Dishonored.
