2012 was definitely a revolution in games. Even though we saw our fair share of sequels, we also saw a number of titles that helped push forward game graphics in a big way. Some were quite original, like thatgamecompany's Journey, while others took the familiar and revamped them in surprising ways, like Nintendo's New Super Mario Bros U.

Far Cry 3 is one of the most brilliant and with the most beautiful atmosphere a game can have, The whole FarCry series has been known for its great Graphics Capabilities starting with the First Far Cry (PC Exclusive) I wish this one was a PC Exclusive too.
Not saying these are all visually outstanding, but these are the best looking games I played this year.
