Cheat Code Central takes a look at why Call of Duty's Prestige might be the laziest idea in game development history.
MW 2019 is five years old at this point and on previous gen hardware, but it is still the best looking Call of Duty game to date.
Following the Wii U and 3DS servers being taken offline, Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and Ghosts are officially dead.
Call of Duty players are jumping into Black Ops 2 for the final time before its Wii U servers go offline for good.
When I see people at 10th prestige + I wince a little because I know how much time they've spend getting there. I've done it once to unlock the emblems and I'll be sticking at 55 now and just playing socially with friends.
I do like unlocking all the attachments and going for the golden weapons though.
MAG had the best concept for prestige in that you would be dedicated to a faction until you reached your level cap. At which point you could prestige/veteran then get the option to cross-over to another faction.
Most people done a full 'tour of duty' before settling on a faction.
Yes, COD's prestige system is so simplistic yet so groundbreaking. It's essentially an addiction, and is one of the greatest forms of marketing we've ever seen. Hats off to Activision and whoever came up with the idea.. Heck, prestige shaped COD multiplayer which shaped modern shooter multiplayer. In fact, this popularity is what even allowed competitor Battlefield 3 to be made in the first place.
well i think they messed up in the celebration that follows leveling up stuff on mw2 and mw3 i forgot how blops 1 was but leveling up in those games is intense unlike in black ops 2 sometimes i dont even know i leveled up untill the match is over
its the stupidest idea why wold you punish someone for wanting to do better in a game?
