Hey GT you forgot the real disappointment of 2012, Resident Evil 6 hands down winner/loser no contest.

ritsuka6664138d ago

GT is sell outs dude. remember GT give a score of 8.8 for Resident Evil 6.

What? Not WarZ? Promising to be everything DayZ wasn't (i.e. stable) but turning into easily the biggest bust of the year? I honestly felt betrayed when I played the alpha. It's broken, sound files are missing, animations are stuttered and dodgy at best and for the false advertisement on the game's Steam Page (and Sergei Titov's subsequent interview by Gamespy: http://uk.pc.gamespy.com/pc... ) alone, Hammerpoint should be shut down. Mark my words, the name Sergei Titov will go down in infamy for this debacle.

I don't think RE6 was a disappointment because anyone with half a working braincell who sat through a 5 minute gameplay video of the thing could tell it wasn't going to be any good. Oh sure, there's fun to be found but you need to dig reaaaaal deep and it certainly doesn't last for long before it's back to tedious poorly implemented TPS mechanics and some genuinely shocking design choices.

i played re 6 mercenaries mode, and the story of jake for the first level or 2. it was pretty decent. but why do ppl say its horrible. aside from repeating a mission with a different character or or rewatchin a scene? like wat about the feel or gameplay is bad.

Amplitude4138d ago

Max Payne 3?
LOL. Whatever you say reviewers

Hingle_Mcringleberry4138d ago

Declassified was just always going to be a disappointed. Herald as the VITA savior even before any footage or screenshot or even concept art was ever aired, this game was carrying alot on its proverbial shoulders.
The fact that it was a critical flop only cemented its fate as one of the most disappointing gaming events of the year.

MasterCornholio4138d ago (Edited 4138d ago )

Steel Batallion for the 360 was pretty horrible as well. Everyone was hyping it to be the saviour of core gaming with Kinect but in the end it stunk horribly.

Hingle_Mcringleberry4138d ago

I was one of those disappointed by Steel battalion so I agree.
Funny thing though, Kinect games aren't usually termed 360 games when tallying up exclusives, so it was rather amusing to see you refer to it as a 360 title in this particular instance.

cyberninja4138d ago

RE6, there's no contest there.

Pozzle4137d ago

I don't know...Operation Raccoon City gives it a run for its money.

Though that's depending on whether one was excited for ORC to begin with. lol

cyberninja4137d ago

Raccoon city wasn't a cannon title and wasn't developed by capcom.

PS. Whoever disagreed with me has no clue what RE is all about, this is fucking sad.

Robotronfiend4138d ago

Many people were disappointed with ME3 and Diablo 3. Doesn't mean they were bad games, just didn't live up to the hype.

I heard a lot of people complaining about Madden 13, but I never played it. Just wanted to toss that out there.

I got 80% trophy completion on Ragnarok but left a few of the battles. Will come back to it one day.

Miraak82 292d ago

Dragon Quest 11 is my top pick

RpgSama291d ago

Dragon Quest XI was such an AMAZING game, I had a blast from the very beginning all the way to the very end, it actually got better the more you played, full of surprises as well.

Another game that I enjoyed from the very beginning all the way to the end of the 100% completion was Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Really, really, really fun game with a great heartfelt story.

badz149292d ago (Edited 292d ago )

Where is Horizon Zero Dawn?? where is Ghost of Tsushima?? I just got my Platinum on HZD and is now trying to finish the Frozen Wild expansion. so much care and love went into that game and it really shows. I especially adore the lore and have sunk many hours listening to the logs and reading journals. the back story is great and the gameplay is awesome. can't wait to replay on the hardest difficulty on NG+. next in my list would be to finish GoTsushima

Tacoboto292d ago

Ghost was fantastic especially after Iki Island and the PS5 upgrade. 100%'d that, Horizon Forbidden West (not ZD), GoW (not yet Ragnarok), Spider-Man, and R&C: Rift Apart.

Each one absolutely worth it.

Aloymetal292d ago (Edited 292d ago )

100% I would like to add to you list RDR2, amazing as well and the perks from getting the Legend Of The East outfit is awesome.
Sekiro as well, have to play twice to get it but it's worth it!

Demetrius292d ago

I agree I'm on my 2nd playthroughs of both horizon forbidden West(zero dawn I played also) ghost of Tsushima except I'm replaying it on PS5 this time, the iki island expansion is amazing

ClayRules2012292d ago

Yeah, GoT was already an AMAZING game on PS4, but playing it on PS5, along with that expansion, just even better.

Elda291d ago

I just started my copy of GOW:R, enjoying it so far.

DefenderOfDoom2291d ago (Edited 291d ago )

How IO turned Hitman around, from Absolution to World of Assassination

When Hitman 3 recently changed its name to Hitman World of Assassination, fans had no idea how meaningful the moment was. On the outside it looked like a simple thing: Hitman 3 would now be known by this name and include levels from Hitman 2 and 3 - the trilogy would all be in one place. But on the inside, at IO Interactive, much more was going on.

You mean destroyed it with this tethered single-player campaign BS... And only the first few levels of the third modern game were on the disc! I'll never support this crap at any price-point! They've lost me as a customer.
