SOE president John Smedley has hinted at a PlayStation future for free-to-play shooter Planetside 2 saying, “SOE has proven we can bring our games to the PS3″. He also mentioned, “70% of our revenue comes from PS3,” suggesting I should stop thinking of the dev/pub as ‘those PC MMO guys’.
Planetside 2’s future is uncertain as the IP was sold for a relatively low sum to a company with no history.

PlanetSide 2 is going to be getting its next major expansion this December. This new addition, titled “Expedition: Oshur” will be the first addition in almost seven years to bring an entirely new continent to the game.

Planetside 2 is described as, *ahem*.. "think Dust 514 with more colours" way to slaughter my teenhood nostalgia-memories of my very first MMO game.
PS3 gamers will be in for a treat, its really a great game and the future of the FPS is in MMOFPS titles.
Although you could just buy a PC and experience it now.
Probably a ps4 launch title. Its so awesome when you are playing it and you have a convoy of 20+ tanks or more.
I hope this happens for the PS4 because it really could become the flagship shooter for Sony on consoles. I dont think the PS3 is up to the task if im honest.
if sony was smart they will include it with every purchase of PS4. (when nintendo included wiisports with every wii).
