Capcom conducted another fan Q&A for DmC Devil May Cry earlier today, where Capcom USA producers, Alex Jones and Greg Lewickyj, fielded questions from inquisitive fans, once again covering demo feedback, controls and Vergil. We’ve picked out the interesting questions and answers below.
VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."
3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them
2.
Dmc.

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best
Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...
5, 3, 1, 4, 2.
I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.
But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me
Huzaifah from eXputer: "Devil May Cry 5, the latest iteration in the iconic DMC franchise by Capcom, still holds its own as a fantastic hack-and-slash in 2024."
Dragon's Dogma 2 continues Capcom's hot streak of favorably reviewed games as the studio lands first on Metacritic's top publishers ranking.
PR bullshit of crapcom is PR, what else did you expect them to say. Anyway, crapcom said the same thing about the Resident Evil 6, as they LOWERED sales expectations.
The demo did nothing but confirm my fears.
glad to hear it. never really interested in the game until i tried out the demo, which ended up being pretty great.
LOL, I'm loving this "Pretend that the games good and that we've "coverted" people" PR bullcrap...it's kind of funny how desperate Capcom are.
"which IMO feels pretty good"
Yeah YOUR not buying the blood product, fans are...
"coupled with the fact the Angel mode was taking a button away on the control pad"
Then why did you add the crappy Angel mode in the first place
"receive an incredible amount of data from this testing—testers respond to questionnaires, give us feedback in discussion groups, we observe their play, and collect data from their play sessions. We then sift through that data and do the best we can to make adjustments and decisions from what we have learned"
Don't lie, it's very clear that you IGNORE complaints, put your fingers in your ear and shout "LALALALA not listening" when theres a complaint or when someone gives you feedback. Look at Ninja Theorys
Tameem Antoniades twitter when people have said stuff to him about the demo and he thought nothing was wrong with the demo despite being the final product even though it's broken. Yeah you dmc lovers are going to buy a broken game and your not even questioning it, well done
"Generally speaking I think we’ve a really positive response to the demo’s release."
Again "LALALA not listening" response combined with "Everything is fine, Everything is fine" response.
Jeez I could pick this PR bullcrap apart if I wanted, Capcom really ticks me off.
Probably from people who have never even heard of Devil May Cry.
