BioWare Promises that Dragon Age 3 Will Be Better Than 2

In a recent interview with Game Informer magazine, new BioWare General Manager Aaron Flynn promised gamers that the upcoming Dragon Age 3: Inquisition will be better than the previous game in the series.

With complaints about repetitive scenery and gameplay, major story events being completely out of player hands, and a complete lack of character customization, Dragon Age 2 did not capture the hearts and minds of players who loved the first game in the series, Dragon Age: Origins. So how does BioWare propose to fix that in the third game?

No... I want them to promise it'll be better than Origins. Then I'll be excited.

NewMonday4157d ago

if it is half as as good then i will buy it Origins is a classic, the best RPG this generation.

it is not hard to be better than DA2, it was like they were trying to make a bad game

Snookies124157d ago (Edited 4157d ago )

Yeah for sure, Origins was an amazing game that really immersed me. That's why I want them to say they can top it. If they can, I'll be really excited.

I agree though, I was so pumped for DA2, and then I played it and was so underwhelmed...

Ding!! Plus bub.

DAO was/is beautiful. I can't tell you how many hours I spent in the library (and obviously other spots) reading the 'history of..' and any other cultural driven documents within the game.

Note: I could tell you how much time I spent.... just to embarrassed to do so.

I know I'm in the minority but I enjoyed DA2 quite a bit. It has its own strengths compared to DA: Origins. The combat was one thing I really enjoyed messing around with on PC. The only thing I didn't like was how certain things (like Flemeth and the Qunari) were completely changed in appearance.

I hope that DA3 combines the story and customization depth of DA:O with the combat and streamlining of DA2.

Just my opinion...

robinburks4157d ago

I quite liked it, too, although I do agree that character customization could have been more evolved. But all in all, I thought it was a solid game.

BioWare promises are worthless.

dc14157d ago

True. I'm still burning from DA Kirk and ME3.

Lets just say that I will not be picking up DA3 on day one. This will be one of the few game purchases that will be heavily considered through like minded reviewers.

I just can't take Bioware promises serious anymore

Dragon Age: Inquisition Retro Review – A Nostalgic Leap Short Of Legendary

Dragon Age: Inquisition, developed by BioWare, is the third installment in the cherished Dragon Age series. It represents a major evolution from its predecessor, Dragon Age II, incorporating elements that were well-loved in the original Dragon Age: Origins but also introducing new features that stand on their own. While Inquisition improves upon Dragon Age II in many respects, it falls short of the exceptional standards set by Origins.

The quality of these free games has been awesome. Before anyone says they are not free I was already giving Amazon $6 a month for prime shipping and video this isn't why I pay for my subscription

Teflon02907d ago

Still technically paying for it, even if it wasn't your intent. They've been giving out games with Twitch prime, they just changed the name. It's the same sub as that was. If you weren't aware, great. But you're paying for it.

That being said, I don't personally care. For me as long as you're willing to pay that for 1 service and get more. I personally take it as free. Like prime video, music though the prime version is trash, and all the Twitch benefits are all free to me because I didn't care about those when I got it. Just comes with it.

Only noted because that's technically wrong as a defense to that argument, whether I'm on yourside with the initial statement lol

mkis007907d ago

It's free to anyone who has already been paying. IDK why people need to split hairs.

How does Prime Gaming work? Do you keep the games, or is it only as long as you have Prime?

Germaximus907d ago

lol Nice distraction from how they're now charging people to increase viewership. It's "just an option." /wink lol
