Halo 4 has crossed the 5 million mark, so far its selling faster than Reach. I wonder how long till it catches up.
PASBR debut, 178K is not bad, but then when you factor in the fact that those are 2 day sales its pretty impressive. But then again, this was Black Friday week so maybe not so impressive. Hitman seems to be a hit.

I'm amazed by the PS3 numbers. It could hold up pretty good; mostly backed by European sales and where it is the cheapest console now (12GB version) but without any exclusive launches. Also, looks like (global) BlackOpsII numbers are quite balanced between 360 and PS3 as well. Another surprise. I would have expected a new launch run the headlines, but surprisingly didn't happen either. Either Nintendo wasn't prepared or that's what the WiiU is selling right now.

It's difficult to take these figures seriously when the site has the actual figures up but hasn't reflected them in their own figures. They've overtracked the 360 and undertracked the Vita and the PS3 in America. When they address that, I'll take them seriously again.

The PS3 broke 70 million sales like nearly a month ago confirmed by Sony. vgcharts says its only at 69.2 million. Clearly theirs not even a reason to post this nonsense. vgchartz has and always will be shit.

VGChartz numbers are SOLD to consumer estimates. The 70 million was official SHIPPED numbers by Sony to retailers. So that 70 million number will not reflect in VGChartz total.

However, the one I do not understand is why the PS3 & Vita totals of VGchartz does not reflect the official announcement numbers given by Sony for the week.

The US loves xbox 360 for some reason.. Not that its a bad console by any means cuz it does some things better than PS3 but the software choices & value are much better on PS3.. XBOX has a better network that u HAVE to pay for just to play w other ppl & a better UI.. Thats it.. Id much rather have more software choices & ps plus is great while sony keeps the free to play motto

Regardless of Vita sales in comparison to 3ds, in terms of money made it won't be that far behind. I can buy a 3ds new for £110, a PSV for £170, a bit of math makes it less disgusting as it looks.

7 years after release and MS manages to get 360 to the top of world-wide weekly sales (even if it is on the strength of North America)...

People talk about how the 360 is fading... If it is fading then what does that mean for all other consoles? Vita isn't even a year old and can't get into the same ballpark (Even if it is under tracked).

360 > PS3 > Wii (That says everything about the Wii... "Fad Generation" confirmed)

3DS > (PSV + PSP) * 2... Sony has no hope ever catching Nintendo in this market.

I still hope and wish the insanity would end... MS supply the Dashboard and online capabilities, Sony and Nintendo focus on games for the platform, and Samsung, LG, Toshiba, Sony TVs etc, include a console in every TV sold based on a spec that everyone works with... Then, all the vendors could focus on games rather than wasting resources on multi-platform and porting.
