Hitman Absolution: 10 Reasons It Sucks

WC writes: The fifth entry into the Hitman franchise, Absolution, landed on our shores last week, bringing with it a divided critical and fan reception given how much it appears to have steered away from its roots towards appealing to more casual players. Indeed, the latest Hitman game might boast shiny new graphics and a more cinematic style, but it’s also far and away from what the hardcore fans were hoping for, a more accessible title that has upset purists and appealed more to the, dare I say, Call of Duty crowd.

Though it’s easy to see why the uninitiated might get a kick out of it, here’s 10 reasons why, if you’re a long-time fan, Hitman: Absolution just doesn’t cut it.

I dont read article but it disapoint me. I expected big hotels and pools not smalls bar or that crappy factory mission i had fun time with blood money but frustrated in absolution .It show how stunning graphics can kill great games.

This game frustrates the hell out of me... way too hard. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the easier games out there, but I cannot even sneak around without getting caught constantly. It sucks.

I've been playing the hell out of Need for Speed Most Wanted though... now THAT'S a fun game.

If this game for false reasons. Normal mode should be easy mode. Only reason this game can seem hard is by its dumb way of artificial difficulty, the dumb little things that affect gameplay so much.

I can name 1 reason this list sucks...pressing a button 10 times to see the next page.

Why can't get that everyone hates that?

Other than that the reason for the list are very true. this new Hitman is shell of what it formerly was, to much makeup has rotten away at it.

The game doesn't suck but its the weakest of all the hitman games Blood money IS still the Best

But on the inside, at IO Interactive, much more was going on.

You mean destroyed it with this tethered single-player campaign BS... And only the first few levels of the third modern game were on the disc! I'll never support this crap at any price-point! They've lost me as a customer.

Hitman is, and has been, a remarkable series developed by some of the best. Some are better than others, but every Hitman is challenging and fun.

Sure, there have been some stumbles and fumbles, but always in pursuit of the perfect Hitman game. The most recent trilogy is a masterclass in level design.
