Don Parsons from Vagary.tv gives some details on his hopes and dreams for 2013.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown rebooted the series back in 2012, and has since inspired numerous new strategy game series to be born.
If someone gets into this I'd recommend getting the enemy within version. It's got all the dlc included so it's the better version. Wish the author would've atleast mentioned it. I didn't see it.
Fantastic game though. Xcom 2 is top notch also. I've spent countless hours in these games.
For players who can’t get enough of this period of history or this style of gameplay, here is a list of the best games like Crusader Kings players should check out.
MP1st - Should the next Battlefield game be Bad Company 3? MP1st weighs in on whether this is a good or bad thing or if a Bad Company 2 remaster would be better.
I would say hell yeah, but im not confident in modern DICE's ability to recreate what made the bad company series good.
Yes, it should be if they can creat a good story like they did in the first two and a good multiplayer and leave their SJW politics out of it.
I'd be happy if it was Battlefield 3. Kill all of that Live junk, and just go back to the basics.
I actually agree with numbers 2 and 3.
#3: However, Need for Speed Underground 3 need to be handled delicately, it's one of my favorite PS2-era games. Criterion did a great job with Most Wanted but let's be honest, it was NOTHING like the original. Doesn't even feel close to me. I personally feel like if they were to remake Underground (which is probably gonna happen :/ ), they would change that classic formula so much. I don't want six mods. I want crazy vinyls, neon purple and cyan underglow, 21" spinners on my VW Golf, etc. Except I wouldn't actually do that. They need to take it seriously, just not TOO seriously. Cause that's what was so great about the classic NFS games, the ability to do whatever you want, when you want to, while still having that feeling of progression by unlocking and then customizing your favorite cars.
If Criterion's just gonna take the name, crap in a bucket, and call it "our version of Underground" then I'm done.
And again, I really like Criterion, just saying I hold Underground close to my heart.
#2: Yes, the Vita's future next year looks a little weak. But no major console has ever only had 5 - 10 games released for it in a year. If you remember a couple months back Sony said something about lots of exciting titles being in development, they're just not announced yet.
As for Gran Turismo Vita: yes, they need to release that soon, but they should take their time. (not GT PSP time, just regular GT time). We know Polyphony will polish the hell out of it so let's hope it's secretly been in development for the past two years and it'll be out in one. If it hasn't, then we might be waiting a little while.
Also, yes we need GTA for Vita. But Chinatown wars, really? The PSP can run Vice City Stories and you say the Vita need CHINATOWN WARS 2?! No, just no. A full fledged GTA game on Vita or nothing. We all know it will happen at some point whether it's what Rockstar's working on right now or not. But for Christ' sake; no one wants a Chinatown Wars 2 for something as powerful as the Vita. I expect it'll be a smaller game and the graphics may not be quite up to par with GTA V; but hey, when was GTA ever not fun? :)
I have a lot more to say, like what I'd like to see in 2013 and more about the Vita. But screw that, too much effort.
yes i would love Bad Company 3 love the first and 2nd battlefield 3 is good and battlefield 4 is set for 2013 (i think) but please release bad company 3 trailer soon!
I'd prefer GTA Los Santos Stories over a Chinatown Wars 2. Chinatown Wars just wasn't my thing.
Bad Company 2 and Warhawk.
most fun I had/have in multiplayer this gen.
