It was just yesterday that Sony officially revealed MLB 13: The Show for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. We knew it was coming – The Show is the most popular baseball videogame franchise in the world – but now we know for sure that it’ll be released Stateside on March 5, 2013.
What we didn’t know, however, is whether MLB 13: The Show would take advantage of Sony’s vaunted cross-buy program, in which gamers get the Vita version of a game for free when buying the PS3 iteration (or, conceivably, vice-versa). MLB 12: The Show was the very first game to employ cross-saving between Vita and PS3, but players, unfortunately, had to buy both versions separately, hitting their wallet hard.
I wanted to know what Sony’s plan was, so I asked. A representative got back to me, telling me that whether or not MLB 13: The Show will utilize cross-buy or not “is still to be determined.” However, he also noted that “a complete answer” to the question will be forthcoming “by the new year.”

If Sony n EA would take a couple pages from 2k n put into there sport games, and OMG!!! We would have kickass sport games...
On closer inspection the article title is very misleading. He says it's a list of top 5 baseball games also available on PC. Since The Show is playstation exclusive I'm guessing that's why it is absent.

I don't think this game needs it. I was happy with the 20 dollars off the Vita version when buying the PS3 copy for a limited time. And I would understand if they went that route again.
Cross-buy is an amazing deal, but we can't expect it for every game.
Hope they do. Mlb 13 was very good on ps vita, and im getting a ps3 for xmas. And I hope they use the cross controller feature on the ps vita.

You'll never see cross buy with big games. People will buy this title anyways. Imagine the money lost.
I hope so. I rarely buy the PS3 version(twice... no, once so far), but I'd be far more inclined to get it if I knew I was getting the Vita version, too.
